The Bianconeri were already without Claudio Marchisio, Mario Mandzukic, Stefano Sturaro, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Martin Caceres, and now Roberto Pereyra.

“Claudio Marchisio will return after the break for international duty. Stephan Lichtsteiner you know, Martin Caceres is in good shape, but you know the club’s position on him.

“Stefano Sturaro tests showed up negative, but he still feels pain in his calf and therefore he’ll be there after the break for international duty.

“Roberto Pereyra over-worked a muscle and is not available, but it won’t take long to recover from. Mario Mandzukic is another who will return after international duty. Sami Khedira will start.”

Lichtsteiner underwent heart surgery this week to correct a cardiac arrhythmia and could be out for anywhere between one and six months.

Expect more tonight when Italy play.
The frustrating part is the team was finally coming together full strength and we hit form right before the international break ahead of a huge league game we need to win to close the gap and suddenly might see 3 starters SO FAR out of the lineup. We still have the Italy match to worry about.

I think Inter are at risk of losing Jovetic and that's it. Plus we are playing away.

This will be a MAJOR test for the younger members of this team that aren't injured.

Extremely frustrating because ultimately the team will not be able to sustain the amount of injuries we get and when we drop points as a result one person will be to blame.

Ok - maybe Morata will be back:

    Morata: 'Ready to face Inter!'
    By Football Italia staff

Alvaro Morata sent a reassuring tweet for Juventus fans. “Working flat out to be ready for Sunday!”

The striker was stretchered off during Spain’s 4-0 victory over Luxembourg on Friday evening.

There were fears he’d fractured his fibula and would be out for four months, then today As reported he’d be on the sidelines for around four weeks with a heavily bruised calf.

“Not for a month, nor four…” wrote Morata on Twitter with a photograph of his two thumbs up at the Juventus training camp.

“Working flat out to be ready for Sunday!”

The Bianconeri will face Inter next Sunday night in the Serie A Derby d’Italia.

Juventus also released a statement confirming the same diagnosis as the Spanish medical staff, of bruising to the right leg without fractures.
