How bad is it really though? There is no official statement yet, only that they will evaluate on Wednesday when the team returns to training. Allegri said yesterday that the doctors will evaluate Barza today, if it was bad you'd think they'll want to have a look at it as soon as possible.

Shit.

After leaving the pitch due to muscle discomfort at half-time of Saturday’s 3-1 triumph over Napoli, Andrea Barzagli this morning underwent an MRI scan.

The medical examination showed that the defender has suffered a first grade tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh.

Barzagli will now begin treatment and both his condition and availability for June’s Champions League final are to be monitored on a day-to-day basis.

    Barzagli doubt for CL final
    by Football Italia

Andrea Barzagli is in doubt for the Champions League final, as Juventus confirm he’s suffering with a thigh injury.
The Bianconeri defender went off injured during the weekend win over Napoli, and has undergone an MRI scan this morning.
“The medical examination showed that the defender has suffered a first grade tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh,” the club announced on its official website.
“Barzagli will now begin treatment and both his condition and availability for June’s Champions League final are to be monitored on a day-to-day basis.”
The prognosis for a first grade quadricep strain of this type is usually between one and three weeks for a complete recovery.

With the Champions League final 12 days away on June 6, the Old Lady will be sweating over the fitness of the Italian internation.
Juve take on Barcelona in Berlin, seeking to win the competition for the first time in 19 years.
