I'd sooner keep Iuliano any day of the week.

I'm much more interested in the Cassano and Mutu options, we shouldn't be concerning ourselves with the likes of Vieri anymore
Same here. If Cassano is "available" Moggi should do anything possible to obtain him.

The problem with signing Vieri is that he needs a lot of creative attackers around him. I dont think we could accomodate him for this reason given that presumably he would replace Del Piero.

signing vieri would see alot of money go down the drain.there is a reason why mancini isn't playing him now,and partnering him with del piero and trezeguet would surely see one of the most injury prone attacks in the world.

Caracciolo to replace Trez? Sunday 10 October, 2004

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Trezeguet will tomorrow discover whether he needs surgery, so Juve are making a move for Under-21 hitman Andrea Caracciolo.

The Frenchman is struggling with a recurring shoulder injury that keeps popping out of joint when he falls awkwardly, and with this latest setback it has been suggested he should go under the knife to sort it out once and for all.

An appointment with specialists has been planned for Monday morning, at which point the club will know if its star striker is set to be out of action for four months.

With this in mind, the Bianconeri are already looking to bring in a replacement during the January transfer window.

Although Christian Vieri and Giuseppe Sculli have been named as potential candidates, it’s now reported that the main target is Andrea Caracciolo.

The former Under-21 international is doing well at Brescia this season with three goals under his belt already and has been on Juve’s radar for some time now.

Newspapers suggest that 23-year-old Caracciolo could be tempted away to Turin in exchange for £7m cash plus the loan of off-form defender Nicola Legrottaglie. This would be a key element for Brescia, who are without Daniele Adani for several months due to knee surgery.

Another reported transfer target for the Bianconeri is Kakha Kaladze, who is finding it difficult to break back into the Milan first team after a year of injury worries, but Bayern Munich are also interested in the Georgian fullback.

i have a lot of respect for Vieri, all in all he was the best italian striker the last years!!! But i don't want him, his time is over he is 30 and also he is not very cheap! so i say lets count on some young guys!

Exactly. Vieri is over the hill. He's not going to want to sit on the bench and if he's not good enough to start for Inter he sure as hell isn't good enough to start for us.
