Rumors are circulating around that he may be sold to another Serie A team (Lazio) or outside Italy (Atletico). Agresti says that Ogbonna represents our future and he won't leave us, but I heard couple of days ago that he may be included in swap deal with Lazio, as they were really interested. Their interest allegedly has dwindled recently, probably because Angelo's price-tag is pretty high and they don't want to get rid of Candreva. But there are still some other teams and one of them is Atletico. For sure we won't snap back all the cash we invested in him, but some sums around 10m are feasible.

Ogbonna was decent at best this season. But for his first year I wouldn't say he's bad. He still has lots of room to improve and it's not like Bonucci impressed more when he arrived, far from it actually.

But it seems we want to sell Angelo and buy some other CB -- which seems to be either Ranocchia or Paletta. Ranocchia has been nothing but disappointing ever since he arrived at Inter and I have no idea why we even show the interest. I'm sick of hearing 'Conte knows why, he worked with him at Bari'. When he moved to Inter he choked. Paletta seems decent enough but it seems his price is pretty high, it makes me think we'd include Giovinco in the deal which doesn't really make sense since we're getting rid of Mirko, Quag and most likely Osvaldo as well (hopefully).

He'll get better, but like I said before, he has errors in him. They might not have been hugely visible while he was dominating in some of those easy stroll games he was picked for, but those errors weren't going to disappear just because he left Torino for Juve. What he does have going for him is his age, he will get better simply because of experience playing in a strong side and system. Physically and technically he is fine.

There is a reason why Bonucci and Pirlo are the two players who put us in the most dangerous situations, and the same will go for Ogbonna when he plays in that position. When you are required to constantly play the ball, and play it from a deep central area, if you lose it then there is trouble. You'll find that regardless of who plays that 'role'.

Personally I think Ogbonna would look better in a back four or in Chiellini's current position, but he has plenty of room to improve.

It would be a shame to sell Ogbonna without seeing more of him but if we can get a decent return to further fund our mercato then I'd be more open to selling him.

We do have Caceres waiting in the wings and, if we move to a back four, then we've got five CBs and I would rate Ogbonna the lowest of the five at this moment. Even lower than Caceres playing out of his natural position.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Atletico and Monaco are all interested in buying Ogbonna. Juve paid around 15 million for him last year, so will want a figure higher than that to let him leave
