yea. Caceres is a monster against fast tricky players. and Barzagli is just Barzagli.
:agree:

I remember Caceres, Lugano & Scotti played like f*cking animals in the 2011 Copa America semi-final vs Argentina! Aside from a lucky Higuain equaliser they let nothing, NOTHING through despite losing Diego Perez midway through the first half; it is as if the whole team entered into a collective beast mode! I've never seen such an impressive and determined defensive performance in my life, ever...

Imagine a back 3 with Dante, David Luiz and Ogbonna. :klin:
Somewhere some EPL club would consider it

Cannavaro's performances in the World Cup in 2006 were the best examples of defensive mastery I've ever seen. He was absolutely unbelievable in that tournament.

You can add Buffon to that also, he was beyond imperious!! However I figured old school Italina defending was a given haha. Also, little Uruguay vs a mighty Argentina headed by Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Higuain, Pastore and Lavezzi is a rather fine example of a David and Goliath struggle of significant magnitude!

He's going to play the final, neutralise Messi and win the MOM award, heard it here first.
You might be on to something tbh

Being against a great CB doesn't seem to bother Messi, but what about coming up against one who's so shit he makes decisions that Messi just can't understand and can't figure out properly over a 90 minute game.

:lol::lol::lol:

That could work!

Messi is usually two steps ahead of defenders, but Ogbonna will be so far behind, that he'll get Messi coming around again.

Messi: Feints left, stepover, feints right, shoots off to the left
Ogbonna: Just catching up with first feint, tackles Messi perfectly :spliff:

Liverpool and West Ham eye Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna

comments:

-Ogbonna is one of the guys you would always sign as a youngster in football manager a few years back due to his "massive potential". Despite things not working out so far, this could be a good move for both parties.

-Will be a classy coup if Liverpool can sign.

15£million or more. i am dead serious. IT’S LIVERPOOL! they will pay it.
