It's hard to think that Bonucci will be better than Ogbonna in the future. Not even sure he's better than him now.

Anyway back on topic. Played well, amazed to see him so close to Bologna's box on a few occasions. Made an impressive run or two from defence if I remember correctly. Big man is like the juggernaut when he gets going.

Defensively he's not better than Ogbonna; tackling, heading, jumping, concentration are all areas where Ogbonna has advantage over him. For 13m, he turned out to be very good signing, reliable backup in the current system for either Chiello or Bonucci and possible starter in a back 4, where the less emphasize will be on defenders with good technique and more on those with good defensive attributes.

It's not even a contest.

I don't think they are too far apart in terms of ability but they have very different attributes, with ogbonna obviously being much more athletic, while bonucci is much better on the ball etc
