    I think it depends how good your phone is out of the box. FOr my O2X a custom rom was absolutely neccewssary. The stock software was crap, gingerbread was extremely laggy, random reboots, freezes, slowness... not to mention the updates, it was updated to ICS only in December 2012...

    However, for a phone thats good out of the box, like the N4, SIII etc, I also think a custom rom is not neccessary. It can be fun and interesting, but its not neccesaary.
    Yes, I agree. I have a GN and the pure Google experience is more than I need. However, on my HTC I have CM.

    That emulator isn't working right for me, can't be signed in on whatsapp with two devices simultaneously. If you sign in on your laptop, it disconnects your smartphone and vice-versa. It wouldn't be a problem only you have to verify your account every time you sign in :( Maybe I'm missing something here though?
