Guys i was planning to flash Gingerbread 2.3.4 CyanogenMod7 for my Defy. Will there be any problems? How much is the difference between the original and CyanogenMod? Share your knowledge with a brotha.

CM7 is basically what Android looks like when it's not modded by Motorola. The UI and widgets are all different. You should try checking out some videos of it on Youtube or something to get an idea of how it is. But one thing is for sure, the speed boost you'll get with CM7 is unparalleled to any ROM.
