So who is anticipating the HTC Pyramid? Reports say it will be called HTC Sensation anyway. That thing looks sexy and the leaked specs arae just to drool over. I am yet to figure out HTC's policy, they released two decent phones in the Incredible S and the Desire S, a few budget phones just to immediately announce the EVO and to start leaking out news about Pyramid/Sensation.

I personally prefer Handcent SMS cos all other SMS app I've tried have the same bug that the stock messaging app has, where the conversations are not displayed in the true chronological order. But other than that, GO SMS is a great app.

Oh I saw Handcent SMS, looks neat. I'm using GO Sms atm because it has a blacklist and I get like 5+ spam texts a day and since I used GO Sms I no longer get spam texts.

I got a SE X8 running Android 2.1.
What benefits I get from rooting the device?

You can either do a nandroid backup from recovery or as said earlier, a titanium one. Just install titanium backup from the market and select the batch option then pickup backup apps not system data as the latter could fuck up your rom. And when restoring, same procedure only pick restore missing apps instead of backup.

You can still back up your apps though. You just can't backup and restore the data if you aren't rooted.

Wrong. You can run Titanium Backup even if you do not have root.

Try running TB, deny it root permission, and try to back up apps.

How can you deny it root permission?
I only see two benefits from rooting your phone and TB is one of them.

And btw who ever uses adw, should try the espresso lightshow theme.
And the F1 fans, the brilliant f1 timing 2011, one of the best apps i ve ever used!!
