Just buy one of them Secco. Both have pros and cons but we all saw the potential. Ranocchia has less experience than Kjaer but that doesn't mean he can't start for us after next season. I can see Canna stay another year so having Ranocchia as the backup would be sweet! I don't know if Kjaer would accept that if an EPL or top Italian club would offer him that job sooner. I remember Ranocchia from his Arezzo days and I saw that potential. Conte also praise him a lot. He's having a great season so far so it looks good. In the air he's awesome! If we get Kjaer instead then I won't complain for sure. He's very good but because I saw him play more I got to assist at some clunkers.

Wait, so you mean we shouldnt be interested in exceptionally talented youngsters? ;)
No, that's not what I mean. All I'm saying is that we tend to overestimate other teams youngsters. Instead, start off by bringing Criscito back, try to give Giovinco more of a regular role on the team, give Ariaudo the chance instead of signing Rannochia for 20 million, get Iago back instead of letting him rot in Bari's Primavera.

Rannochia to be a starter in such an important position as CB? I don't know, 12 games isn't enough yet. I would rather see us signing Kjaer. That kid is good, he took his NT to the WC and has been great for 2 seasons now.

Why do you say that? Obviously he has to prove himself more, but he has been absolutely amazing in the 3 or 4 games I've seen him, including a MoM performance against Milito and Eto'o. Is Kjaer overhyped as well? He hasn't been around that long and I've actually seen a truly horrendous performance from him where he was the worst defender in a game where Palermo was thrashed.
I was kinda drunk when I said that but I wasn't that far away from my point.

Kid is really talented and he can come out great but it has been only 12 matches. There's no doubt we should keep an eye on him but people should not act like he's new Maldini or something. We didn't see much from him and so far I'd just keep an eye on him. I at least think it's a reasonable thing to do but just watch how some people cry for him. Bring him in January, now, he's better than Terry etc etc.

It's a second season for Kjaer and it's a bit different. He was bad too, he made mistakes, he was one of the worst players on the pitch but let's face it, so was Chiellini...so was Del Piero, Nedved and Buffon. It happens to everybody but I think it's pretty clear that he's a very good defender with loads of potential, someone who can become one of the best defenders in Italy and Europe. Partnership with Chiellini would be just amazing IMO. He already proved himself, unlike Ranocchia and if was to choose between Andrea and Simon I'd go after the latter one.

What chances do inter have of signing ranocchia? Looks like they are turning up the heat on him.

Meh, they want and need him as much as we do. They don't tell the media much which is a good thing but they "want" like every player that's shining.

They will probably sign someone good but it's a long way ahead, they will be linked with 20 more defenders probably.

NOTHING will happen until the summer, and it will wont be easier due to him being owned by Genoa. I think they will try, if we are seriously interested, to weigh in Criscito in an eventual deal for Rannocchia.

Seriously...if we are giving up Criscito which sadly we will to bring the price down then we need a plan B formulated ASAP for LB then. Not sure why newspapers are associating us with Lahm...here are my reasons to question that move.

1.) Lahm would cost us MUCH more than it would cost us to bring Criscito home. If they they are giving up Criscitio to bring Ranocchia's price down, then what sense would it make to bring Lahm when that would still be more expensive?
2.) We just have no plan for LB do we?

I seriously don't think we're going to sign a new LB at the end of the season and it's just one of the reason why I was against Grosso deal. He was a temporary solution.
