He is more impressive than Kjaer and I absolutely prefer him to Kjaer, who I don't think can hack it at a top club. It's time to stop buying mediocrity and buy either established champions or sure-fire ones. Ranocchia falls into the latter and has everything needed to succeed.

Proven in terms of what? Kjaer has had only a few great games this season and been very bad in most of the others. Ranocchia is his equal already, if not better. Amelia made Kjaer look very good at times last year as well, covering for his errors, don't lost track of that point.

That's it. That's three posts now. Three strikes... you're outta here!

Kjaer is already a proven starter for Denmark and hasn't been as poor as you say he has. Ranocchia isn't really proven anywhere, as far as I'm concerned.

That you have a picture of Rivaldo may speak too much about you.

I've watched all but 1 Palermo match this season, how many have you seen? Cassani's knees hurt because he's carried Kjaer on that side for most of this season. Don't be silly.

Honest question then Brush -- how many Palermo matches have you seen this season?

Because the way you describe Kjaer seems like you're ignoring the blatant, inarguable fact that he's regressed since his stellar year last season. Last game was by far his best of the year and only a few months in he's had several disastrous performances.

He's been great and I've watched a lot of Denmarks games during this qualification and he was amazing back there, he was outshining Agger all the way to he WC and he was leading the defense for the most part of the qualifications when Agger wasn't around.

What he says about Rannocchia is another thing, he is opinion. But he is right about Kjaer THIS season, Kjaer has been quite bad in alot of games. VERY inconsistent. Defenitely signs of regressing from his last seasons performances in the errors that has been too constant this season.

This is simply not about an italian player or a foreigner thing Andy, I would still sign Kjaer, but what he says is right, and Kjaer's downside are hardly mentionned, people who havent seen him assume he is as good as last season.

I've seen him enough this season. I think people tend to overrate horrible displays after a season of great ones, just to stick their noses out in the mix. Have to say I've seen more good displays from Kjaer this season than poor ones, seeing a decent sampling of their matches.

No way is Ranocchia more proven at this stage.

I Haven't really watched Ranocchia much this season so can't really rate the guy. But i'd agree with the guys here who said that Kjaer is having a lot of on and off games this season so far (and even last season). He can be brilliant in one game and he'd be poor in another.

For a 20 year old defender its not a suprised that he's inconsistant. Honestly can't make up my mind on the guy....

at least ranocchia has proven quality blood in being italian ! you know that every italian defender is better than a danish one ... so thats the point in arguing?
