I'd prefer the current Criscito over the next Nesta, even if he is acting like a douche. If we aren't able to get Mimmo back, there's sadly no point to bring Andrea here, since we will loan him out, co-own, disappoint the shit out of him and in the end he will refuse to play for us. Criscito was just as promising and unproven when we paid his full price back in 2007, but right now we are handling the situation like we have full squad with great defenders.

Strangely enough, I agree with you.

@Pitt: Well that's a negative experience. I will gently tell you that you are inaccurate. Here is why.

Criscito plays LB and Rannocchia can form the twin towers in the middle with Chiellini.

Andy, I don't think we would loan him out. He fits the stature to be a beast IMO, if he is that expensive its meant to be bought and immediately placed into the first team. Though, after this injury I don't think he will be as expensive as we first thought.

I don't see any club in the world buying a defender for ~€15m and loaning him out for experience. Especially this player.
This player has played what, like 16 games in Serie A? Surely, he has shown exceptional qualities (at least that's what everyone is saying), but what if he comes to big club like Juve and fuck's up against one of the greatest in the game, get's benched, looses the place in starting 11 and coach trust just like Mimmo did? It surely can happen again, don't you think?

Oh, I was under the impression you thought we would loan him out instantly without an opportunity. I'm more convinced we'd resist loaning him out if he has 2 or 3 bad games in his first 6 months, just for the price tag and the difference with Criscito being he wasn't bought to be a starter (something Ranocchia would be). This, of course, is assuming that someone with a brain handles the situation.

You are wrong here, Criscito was brought to be a starter alongside Andrade (in the start of 2007/08 he was), as he was hailed the new that and that. And his price tag was also big, in 2007 we paid 7.5 million euros for the half Genoa owned (later we sold it back for a bit less, Alen could probably name the numbers). But yes, if half was rated for 7.5 millions, his full price was pretty close if not equal to the current price of Ranocchia.

If we got Mimmo he would probably play at LB, but I think he can also play as CB, as he has the qualities in defence unlike Grosso and De Ceglie type of left backs.

Del Piero to finish season on loan with Cretone to find his goal scoring shoes again in order to be ready for next season.

I have no problem with getting him, but is he the immediate solution as a partner for Chiellini? I'm not so sure. He needs a few years under him at the club as a secondary guy, just like Kjaer will.

Oh, my bad. I thought Chiellini at center back was something Ranieri did straight away. Criscito can't have been hyped up enough then after the Livorno game. Seems like Criscito and Chiellini just switched positions since then actually.

Trust me, anything is possible with these moronic loan lovers. These guys are worse than a group of cheap prick used car salesmen.
I know, but I want to think it wouldn't happen. The Ariaudo one still has me wondering, now we're down to 3 center backs.

I think Chiellini is at the point in his career where he can masturbate er mastermind the backline well enough to accommodate a young cadet.:D

Probably for the best too.

No worries mate, always trying to prove someone wrong, glad to see you're big enough to admit that I sometimes actually succeed at that. :D Strange swap between those two, but also encouraging in the way that Criscito might become a great CB like Chiello one day also.

Well considering our bad luck with RB's, that shortness in CD might bite us hard later this season. Caceres and Grygera who could fill CB spots are often injured, so it's possible that the Ariaudo will be felt. Hopefully it won't, but in the end we may have Ariaudo back with some more confidence and experience.
