Attack is good and shows promise but the team still looks unbalanced and can't defend against even meager opposition.

A turnover and we get pantsed

What I don't know is what the solution to this is? Replace Bonucci with a killer like Demiral?

Get Arthur in there so opposition can't press us into these situations so easily? :boh:

None of the above.
Pirlo should recognize the team' s limitation in pressing and only do it in periods of time, like Max did.
The other time, just soak pressure, when you have to and rely on individual talent to finish games off.
Give them nothing on defence, because sooner or later our individual players will see us through against most opposition.

He can try his suicidal press in the CL, where the attack is more emphasized.

Starting to learn
once again we conceded on a counter (that was luckily disallowed), almost conceded right after we scored the first. defending is still naive as fuck, it's unbearable after all those years of predictable solidity

at least we scored two after some pressure of our mids, this is one positive sign

Our defensive solidity derailed off the tracks last year under Sarri, but we didn’t realize there was a cliff into the abyss of defensive incompetence named Pirlo just off the edge of those tracks.

But why aren't we able to counter press teams

You can tell that we are going to be inconsistent as fuck as long this man is in charge. In every game there are moments which could've gone either way which is a bit crazy to think for a team like ours.

So basically he's our Ole and we are the new United

We should not be fooled by the final score.

We scored 2 goals from a mistake in their own half. We didn`t create much beside that. They hit the woodwork twice and scored a goal within the opening 10 mins. The defense is still shaky and at times very unorganized. We are lacking balance, movement, tactical awareness and discipline.

Half of the season is almost gone and we don`t have much time to fix this things. In fact, I don`t think we gonna fix anything by the end of the season.
We will keep on relaying on Ronaldo and Morata.

The result was very flattering. We looked disjointed, chaotic, especially in the first half. I dont like what Im seeing so far and enough time has passed, for some of Pirlo's ideas to take a root. Id take solid 1-0, where we are in full control throughout 90 mintes over this.
