this guy really don't help our play anymore, we are better without him, relying on his very occasional long pass or freekick is unacceptable for a CL finalist.

buy a young and proper AM pleaseeeeee?????? :sergio:

if you mean pirlo then no we don't, if we had a proper am our 3-5-2 can be very different and much better.
he being 37 and he is slow He is better to come on as a sub in a big game when the tempo has slowed down a bit especially when we switch to 3-5-2 he can help to defense line.

that is nonsense, any players can slow down the tempo, control the match and waste the time.

we shouldn't even debate this crap, I've seen how pirlo is obstructing this team ever since conte's 2nd season, we aren't progressing as long as we have to play him :sergio: someone posted the statistic before, we scored faster and less conceded in CL without pirlo, that's should have rang some bells :sergio:

we are making a historic season that no one even dared dreaming of, but haters gonna hate.
yes, pirlo had his injury and came back looking poor but in the past two months i believe he has played very well and been integral in our development. he has mainly been used as a dm (especially in cl), not as a playmaker, and done fairly well. yes, he causes trouble every once and then but he also adds something extra. even the best dm makes mistakes costing goals etcetera it is just that it is much more visible mistakes made by pirlo. i can acknowledge the statistics but need to remind you that a lot of those can be derived from when he was off form from the injury.
Pirlo is perhaps not as good as he used to be, but he is still a champion and a legend. Marchisio will be the perfect replacement adding a more solid defense but as long as Pirlo performs as in the past seasons and since the past two months I'd be happy to play 4-3-1-2 in order to have our MVPP on the pitch simultaneously.

I think he played well, he tidied up a lot of play around our box and was the only player who came even close to opening Lazio up.

People moan about him slowing the tempo, but he can pass a ball 15 yards faster than anyone can run.

He created just about every chance/half chance today:

- His free-kick creates a goal.
- Through ball Lichtsteiner plays him behind the Lazio defence in the first half he just misses out on the ball.
- His through ball to Lichsteiner in the second half plays him in behind Lazio but he miscontrols.
- He supports Tevez and Pogba in attack and plays in Llorente who takes a bad touch.
- His through ball to Matri is marginally offside who has a goal ruled out.
- His ball over the top to Matri creates the winner.

We had nobody else even close to creating these chances today.

I'm not saying he should definitely start against Barcelona, but the criticism is way over the top.

What the fuck are people complaining about. In the first half it was Anderson, Candreva or Klose man marking him and he was not able to move, they were on him wherever he went. In the second it was only Candreva and Anderson and his only mistake was that he stayed in the middle, he should have dragged those two closer to our defenders, this could have opened up space for us and stretched their team a bit. Once we took the lead his markers pushed forwards and let him free and he could have tortured Lazio with only a few touches.

He was one of our best players tonight actually.

He's a big game player, and I actually think playing against Barca will suit his game. If he's well protected by Marchisio and Vidal which he will be. I'm beginning to wonder if Pogboom will be starting that game or a more hard tackling mid like Sturato.
