Seems odd that people can't see obvious things in games. If Pirlo gets man marked in every game then obviously he won't be as dominant. It just didn't happen much last season or really in the Euros.
this 'rest' talk is so

too many Master League champions over here.

Didn't have a good game but his presence is why Vidal and Marchiso had so much time on the ball.
Oscar was following him everywhere(Literally) and he was also zonal marked by Torres in front of the defense and Mikel in the midfield.
He needs a rest nonetheless.

Oscar also made Pirlo look like a pilon with his second goal :(

I've seen Pirlo getting dribbled A LOT worse than that. I mean he's not known for his defensive skills.
And as great as Oscar played, at the end of the day people will put a man to mark Pirlo not Oscar.

No doubt but it definately wasn't Pirlo's best outing. Oscar did a fantastic job both sides of the ball to neutralize Pirlo. Good thing he isn't Juve's only trick in the bag

I kind of agree. Pirlo wasn't really on his best but he kept their players busy which gave our other midfielders more time and space.

He will never be rested.
He has to be rested. Not only for the sake of him being 34 and playing every possible game for Juve and Italy, we never really played many games without him. What happens when he's not able to play a couple of games?

Some guy in the Mirror called him a 'fading light' this morning, because Oscar got the better of him. I guess we should sell him already, after all, it's been nearly 3 months since the same journalists had their cocks out over his performances in the Euros.

They hate Pirlo because of what he did to them in Euros. Did you see how they were booing him when he went to take a corner? Losers...

I realise that he is being targeted more, but I still think he isnt up to speed yet. Some of his passing hasn't quite been as accurate as usual. But I am sure he will get back and it is not like he has been bad.

Doesn't really matter that he wasn't influential, in the end he dragged players away so Marchisio and Vidal could be so influential on the result. And it worked.

The footballing world has become so infatuated by Pirlo that they haven't realised we have three quality midfielders.
You've said exactly what I came here for.

Well actually this is not true. If you change to 442 or 433 you can swap Bonucci for Isla and the team will have better players.
with the 442 you have to bench on from marchisio , pirlo , vidal , that is the main reason why we went for the 433 so that the three of them could be on the pitch . If you change bonucci than there is noone to play the ball from the defensive line when pirlo isn't available

Oscar man marked him quite effectively, and its clear he is tired and a bit out of form...but lets not get too worried, he will be back to his usual self sooner rather than later. I hope Conte/Carerra rest him this weekend against Chievo.

I'd suggest he will be able to play at his own pace and with time on the ball, also. Unless of course everyone tries to play like Genoa did, which might be fun at Juventus Stadium.
