tbh, I feel like Pirlo inspired Italy to win that shootout. Before his kick, the momentum was totally on England's side. When he was staring at the goal I remember thinking, "alright Pirlo, sack of shit just missed. You need to somehow lead your team to victory here." Then he fucking sped up, and pulled an Abreu when they were down on the score. That took alot of fucking balls imo. Being down on the score and chipping it like that, in the fucking Euros. After that you could just feel the English momentum shrink, the expression on the players faces looked overwhelmed, then England missed, and Gigi got encouraged.
