To put things into perspective: An injury prone and "over the hill" Cristiano Zanetti joined us on a free transfer from a direct rival and turned out to be our best central midfielder for the past five years.

It was a gamble that certainly payed off, and that was Cristiano Zanetti, not Andrea Pirlo.
To be presented on Thursday.

Meh I'd say that is the exception and not the norm.

Andrea Pirlo is reportedly having a medical at Juventus ahead of his move from Italian champions Milan.

The Italian international will leave the Rossoneri this summer after opting against signing a new contract.

Pirlo, who will be available on a Bosman free, has been paired with the Old Lady in recent months.

If all goes well with the 32-year-old’s fitness tests, his capture is expected to be made official at some stage this week – perhaps Wednesday or Thursday.

Pirlo, who spent a decade with Milan, is set to sign a three-year contract with the Turin giants.

Other than Aquilani, and to a lesser degree Melo, we have NO MIDFIELDERS CAPABLE OF DECENT CREATIVITY...so I welcome Pirlo, if he comes to us. Because at 32, he can still pass beautifully and hussle, likely better than Aquilani. And as I was reading elsewhere earlier today, on another juve forum, in the many games this season where we got ahead handsomely, then conceded one goal and totally capitualted, couldn't thread more than 1-2 passes together, and either drew or lost, had we had Pirlo to bring on, a player who can put his foot on the ball, and not fuck up over and over again, we would have drawn more, and held our lead more...no doubt.
