5 years ago in 2006 pirlo was about 26 same age as aquliani now, and yet was a starter for Itay's NT and a world cup winner and a champions league winner.. At, 26 Pirlo achieved more than Aquliani... So, who is to say Pirlo isn't world class? at 31 he still has a couple more years left..
What I think would be great is this not spend money on Aquliani but, if we can get pirlo cheap and wages cut I would bring him here and if we get a PROMISING cm who can be his understudy that would be great..
IF the youngster is around 18-20 and pirlo can give 2-4 years that understudy can lead us in skilled passing and creativity over years at a youung age 22-24 for a mature player IMO.. This also will tie in with the CLUBS so called plan to follow BARCA's developing with players.. an example, can be the applet brothers or even Iago silva(if he can play cm) being the understudy to pirlo and yet is very CHEAP compared to paying 16 million for Aquliani..
I look at it this way Juve will have money but need to spend it wisely to get better Fullbacks ,LM ,and Forward...
