Never followed Masiello, is he better than Motta?

Nvm, that was a stupid question.
Masiello would be a decent backup for Lichtsteiner and he would be a homegrown player since he is a product of our academy. Definitely a good signing.

Motta was "solid" by many accounts while at Roma.
motta was on the bench about half of the games in his last year at roma.
whereas masiello played almost all matches in the last three seasons at bari, and plays rb and cb as well. he could be back up for both position. but it needs to be said that he's more of a defensive fullback.

thats exactly why he is a good understudy, if he needs to come on, you know not to worry about the holes in the team, unlike when you would call motta or grosso on...

the difference between grosso and motto is that grosso still can make sort of an impact offensively, while motta just plainly sucks at every aspect whatsoever. the only thing in his favor is athleticism.

regarding masiello however it would depend on the transfer fee. we could also use sorensen for exactly the same positions.

Hmm, I can't figure out the difference between the two. Good point.

but it needs to be said that he's more of a defensive fullback.
That's fine. But from watching his matches, he wouldn't really add anything. I'd much rather keep and play Sorensen if Masiello is the backup. I mean really, guys. REALLY. Masiello? Are you kidding me?

I agree, Andy. Sorensen has done nothing wrong this season and surely hasn't warranted anything that deserves to be shipped off on a trade or loan. For an 18yr old no-name from Denmark the kid was wonderful...but hey, it's what Juve does...we will use him in some shit deal to bring a shitty CB with "Serie A experience" to be the backup.

    Brilliant.
