It's what it looks like. If we absolutely had to sell somebody we should have been pushing Vlahovic on other teams. If this was an opportunity to sell instigated by City we should have said no.
It's not what it looks like at all...? Araujo is signing an extension and we haven't even received a single bid for Cambiaso who just got confirmed in the line-up for tomorrow.

If we were in man City position facing 115 charges what do you think the outcome would be?
I think it'll be a fine and possible 1 or more transfer bans, that's why I'm saying we have powers of negotiation here and either we tell city to fuck off or make extortionate demands because they'll no doubt be somewhat desperate. I mean they've given Haaland a 9 year extension today ffs.

if we're doing it: selling a starter in january, gifting an experienced player to napoli, what the fuck are we doing? this is not juventus, this is a small club with a glorious past and current financial difficulties, and now everyone knows that, even those who had some doubts. if it quacks like a duck...

are we getting dorgu at least?
The right term is washed up oldie.

I thought I read somewhere that Man City were offering $60-65 million plus Kyle Walker in exchange for Cambiasso. Doesn’t sound too bad.

Nevermind, just realized that Kyle Walker is 34 years old.

It's worrying but not surprising how many people think selling our best players for any amount of money is going to benefit the team.

The only people who benefit from this are the owners and their bank balance.

We will not buy anyone as good or better.

One thing we badly need is leaders and players willing to die for the shirt. Not mercenaries who want to collect big wages for doing the bare minimum.
Die for this shirt? When we have consistenly "betrayed" anyone who stuck with us? We are treating our players like shit more often than not, so we shouldn't expect anything more in return. And if you say the company needs to look at their interest first, which is not totally wrong obviously, you should expect the players to look at their interest first, and put aside emotions and loyalty since we never really reward it, on the contrary

Wrong, no matter what you think of Danilo this season his leadership is much needed this season.
His leadership is quite useless off the bench. Locker room blabla is just chatter. What matters is those 90 mins between the chalked lines.

Again; if this transfer was going the other way around; the crew would be argueing 'why are we buying someone else's trash' and so on.

What I have a problem with is the way we're ousting him. Not at all letting him go in itself. He's literally played 1 decent game this season. Our higher defensive line exposes him in all kinds of ways.

Especially since the club is in disarray as far as finances go.. This is to try and balance the books. The replacement will be underwhelming.
