Not so worried about the peanuts we paid, but I hope he is an improvement on legro, otherwise if he really is that bad as made out to be then I dont see the point of signing him apart from extending our wage bill. We have plenty of primavera players whose value and talent would proberly exceed that of barzagli's. Anyway we'll never know till he steps on the field, till then ill reserve my judgement.

finaly :D

let's see how he fares, but if i black out his bundesliga performance i think he is at least better than grygera as CB and since we do lack defenders in general (because they keep injuring themselves) its an ok backup if the wage is ok

Young and Italian are the two words that immediately pop up whenever I hear his name.
If I write these two words in the search option in the old Barzagli threads, there will be +500 results.

Barzagli has Juventus medical

Wolfsburg defender Andrea Barzagli is in Turin having a medical before completing a move to Juventus.
Earlier this week, terms were reportedly reached between the two clubs paving the way for a move back to Italy.
This morning's La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Barzagli will put pen to paper on a contract until June 30, 2013.
The structure of the deal remains unclear.

Juventus have offered to subtract Barzagli's nominal transfer fee from outstanding payments for Diego who joined Wolfsburg in the summer.
----------------------
What payments for Diego? Didn't Wolfsburg pay the entire fee in August? Or are these some bonuses?

Obviously not, if that story is even true. So it'll be €0.5m from €5m or whatever, if that is the case.

Wolfsburg is paying him in three installments.
You sure?
I think they were paying the entire fee at once and apparently that was the main reason for selling him (we needed an influx of cash at the very moment). More likely these are potential money that Wolfsburg need to pay us depending on Diego's appearances and success with the team.

You're scared of that partnership, just admit it Jay! :D

I wouldn't be surprised tbh, I'd expect something like that from Del Neri.
Yes I am scared of it, but maybe he'll surprise us :D I think Bonucci has done enough to cement his place for now, but it's not as if Barzagli will be just a backup, he'll play some part.
