Barzagli will be The Toni of RB's possibly get injured soon and ride the gravy train and not play not many games for Juve, as Juve again pays another salary while the player never gives JUVE anything in return on the pitch.

Barzagli to be last Juve signing
Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has suggested that Andrea Barzagli will be the club’s last capture this January.

Wolfsburg defender Barzagli has been linked for weeks, but it looks like players such as Diego Forlan and Luis Fabiano – men also associated with the club in the media – won’t be joining him.

“The January transfer window is a difficult one because Juventus are looking for players who can increase the quality of the team,” Marotta noted.

“We’re not buying for the sake of buying and right now I don’t think there are any important players available.

“Barzagli? He’s an opportunity that arose and is a player who will be of use to the cause. We’re sorting out a few things, we’re optimistic and hopefully it will all be wrapped up tomorrow.”

Juventus are having a problematic and inconsistent campaign given that they are sixth in the table, nine points behind Milan.

But Marotta still believes in the Scudetto despite admitting that the club needs time after a summer revolution on and off the pitch.

“There is a gap, but you never know in football,” he noted. “Our objective from the start of the season was to qualify for the Champions League.

“Our Scudetto ambitions depended on us and what our rivals did.

“Our competitors are strong, while we are in a process of renewing the club and we are still encountering difficulties.

“This is a campaign that is living on individuality and great balance. We are paying for the absences in attack, especially Fabio Quagliarella.”

The latter is set to be sidelined for the rest of the season following knee surgery, while Luca Toni [also signed this January], Vincenzo Iaquinta, Amauri and Alex Del Piero have all suffered with fitness issues this term.

Then he goes out and buys quantity in the form of Toni and Barzagli. Either he is blind and delusional, or just plain stupid. What a paradox we have on our hands with statements like those above :sigh: :sergio: :wallbang:
