khedira had a very good season last year, especially after allegri introduced the 2-man midfield.

stats aside, i think we still need a defending-attacking all-round beast like vidal was, but andré gomes would be just a waste of money. i bet we're better off with bentancur.

Gomez is nothing like Bentancur though. Barca uses him as CDM and he looks like total crap there. Gomes was very good in Pogba-like role as attacking LCM. In 2 man midfield he is gonna be atrocious, but in 3 man as the most forward midfielder (Pjanic - regista, Matuidi - running and covering all around, Gomez is a Roma-like Pjanic). Come on, man, loan + option is gonna be a steal.

are we playing with a 3-man midfield? also, why did we bought bernardeschi and costa, if we're about to switch to a 4-3-1-2, probably the only 3-man mid lineup that dybala would fit in comfortably?

won't happen anyway, at least according to this: http://www.football-italia.net/108926/‘iniesta-won’t-join-juve-gomes…’

well, Gomez makes sense only if Max decides to play 3 men, obviously. Pjanic-Matuidi-Gomes-Berna in 4312 looks very sexy imo, a little soft though. It's all speculations, all I'm saying is if there is a possible loan+option we should do it – it's a low risk, high reward deal. And because of that there is no such option))

:agree:

dybala needs this free role, though. so far, we're much more dangerous in attack when it's higuain who tracks back, and dybala moves around the attacking 3rd in a less restricted way. so i wonder where bernardeschi fits in there. so far, he's been a luxury sub, but 2 games into the season, it's too early to say anything definitive about this year's juventus.

still, i'm not sure about andré gomes. he looked like a good player going forward in valencia, an average holding mid in barcelona, a meh cm for portugal. for me, he's like early marchisio: talented, but his best position is yet to be found. i'd stick with bentancur who's been familiar with a 2-man midfield at boca, could offer much more defensively despite weighting like 40 kg, and looked already cool and confident in possession against genoa.

Oh, definitely. Bentancur so far looks promising. He is much closer to classical CDM, while Gomez is more CAM. Have no idea how Max is gonna handle all these players if we get him, we are gonna be versatile as fuck though (433-4312-4231-424-442-3412-343 transition just with one sub, this schemes all pointless lol).

I just don't see how we are going to give him playing time with all the players we've got already.. Plus I don't rate Gomes
Don't we only have 5 cm now with one on life support and another on the door of retirement home? How can you be okay with only 3 functioning reliable cm with one of them just starting his career on the highest level?

We have 4 good CMs plus Marchisio injured. No reason to bring Gomes unless it's almost free and on loan. Bentancur in half an hour showed more than Gomes in 1 year with Barca.

I would preferred if we had signed that DCM destroyer with the 2 Players in front with great ability on the ball like Madrid have.

So one bad season at Barcelona and now Gomes is garbage? How did he just go from being a very talented player that we would've happily signed from Valencia to a terrible player that should be avoided at all costs? Classic Tuz overreactions as usual.
