He's been saying it for over a month now. He has most of his family in Portugal and they all feel that Villas Boas is going to Juventus. Their feeling is that he would rather take on a project like Juventus and build his legacy at Juve than stay at Porto.

And no, my brother-in-law is not just saying this to bust my balls.

He can't. I'm his landlord :D
I thought AVB was a "Porto man"? Born there and worked there for many years.

Hi there. Actually, I've reminded myself of an interview where AVB said he wants to go beyond Porto. Seems odd that he'd go out of the Champions League though.

Man that would be sweet if he became something like our very own sir Alex. Hope you are right Sheen!
Trust me, nobody hopes more than I do that I am right.

I've wanted him here the minute his name got connected to the Juventus position.

Everyone else with the exception of Ancelotti has been a distant second in my eyes

I think its about legacy for him, and a fair amount of ego.

Being a legend at Porto would be great, I'm sure.

However, being the manager to bring Juventus back to its pre-calciopoli glory?

You can't even compare the legendary status that he would have if he chose what was behind door #2.

You just never know.

It could be argued that it is an ideal time to take over: club is nearing rock bottom, moving to new stadium, promise of decent amount of cash.

With Juve at a low ebb, he is more likely to find players and staff willing to give him what he wants and to implements his ideas.

Things can be much harder, in some ways, when taking on a club at a high point (see Benitez at Inter).

Now let's wait in see if the board sees it that way...

I told my wife that if Villas Boas comes to Juventus, then my sister-in-law and brother-in-law get a month rent free.

She wasn't too keen on that idea, even though she sees me sink further and further into my couch everyweek when watching a Juve match.

Still watching games from in front of the couch?

What a masochist.

Yeah, its gotten to the point now that once the Juve-Napoli match starts, I'm going to be ahead of the game by having the cushions on top of my head once the match kicks off

Props to enduring the games though. I went out at HT on Sunday and didn't bother coming back until I'd had enough alcohol to cure what I just witnessed.

If AVB become our next manager, then your brother in law deserves a one month free rent :D
Tell that to my wife.

Although she feels my pain when it comes to Juve, she doesn't feel it that much to the point where she would put a monetary value on it.

She doesn't even ask me how they do during a match. All she has to do is listen from the bedroom at my insults and laughter to get an idea on how they are doing.
