Fed up Juventus fans sell flop striker on eBay

Fans of Juventus have finally grown tired of their expensive and slightly rubbish striker Amuari, as he is currently fetching a price of €10m on auction site eBay.

The Brazilian-born Italian striker (he changed nationality just so he could complete one international cap) is a figure of derision for the Serie A league leaders, as the club have tried and failed to sell him continuously over the past two years. Considering that the player cost €22.8m in 2008 and has a £60,000 weekly wage, fans are fed up with the player bleeding the club dry.

Thus we weren't too surprised by the ingenuity of eBay.it user 'lugio1981', who has taken it upon himself to sell Amauri - on eBay. He's even including free delivery too.

Amauri, who has been linked to Fiorentina and - rather more unbelievably, Tottenham Hotspur - in recent weeks, doesn't seem any closer to a move away from Juventus, so perhaps eBay is the way to go.

As for the item posting, Amauri's advert includes free shipping for the player himself and an estimated delivery of four working days. Unsurprisingly, refunds are not accepted. The winning bid also gets a free item - Juve full-back Paolo DeCeglie. Bargain.

Surprisingly, Amauri is receiving some top offers thus far, while the auction itself doesn't run out for another six days.

Already the striker's current bid is up to €10 million after 78 offers, so with such a ludicrous asking price for a black-and-white flop striker, we imagine Liverpool's Fenway Sports Group are already reaching for their chequebooks.
