I was barely making a point there.

Well he was a flop. I've watching him many times and he was bloody awful, I remember how many people laughed him back then, rightfully so.

For his price, he sure is overrated, hyped, priced and everything.

No doubt about it he was a flop. But he's Italian so it don't matter.

Gilardino during his time at Milan scored at a slightly higher rate than Amauri is right now. So, if Gila is a major flop, what does that make Amauri?

did u know that he request a salary increase after our match against Bordeaux ??

do u know that he earn 3 million euros a year .. yes, he receives more than Chiellini, Sissoko, Melo and Camo ..

I fucking hate this greedy clown .. we must get rid of the worst striker in our history .. we must kick him out .. :sergio:

EDIN DZEKO is the revoloution .. BIG YES FOR HIM ..

But unfortunately, he wants Milan .. :sergio:

Lavessi
G.Rossi
Luis Suarez

we could get one of them easily ..

They are different sorts of players. Gilardino is a Trezeguet type player.

And I bet you Gila wouldn't do any better here because of the lack of service.

I'm not saying he'd do any better than Amauri, but you have to be fair. Everybody wants to throw the word Flop around as if its going out of style. What is good for one is good for the other.

And if you really want to get technical and compare overall numbers, since they both played at what can be considered mid-table clubs (although I have a hard time placing Fiorentina in with the likes of Chievo, Parma, and Palermo), then the numbers are so decidedly in Gilardino's favor

I don't like using the word flop all the time, but the argument was over Gila and somebody nonsensically defended him, saying he wasn't a flop. Gila was the definition of a flop after those seasons at Parma.

The difference here is that Amauri never was a huge goal scorer with Palermo, while Gila lit up the Tardini.

He's also lighting it up with Fiorentina.

Here is what I don't understand. Are people arguing over who they would rather have, Amauri or Gilardino??

What is the difference, except for the fact that Gila is 2 years younger, and has been far more prolific than Amauri.

And if Gila is the definition of a flop, then so is Amauri. And if he isn't then please tell me why. Their careers have almost taken a similar path.

OK then, Amauri is a flop.

I just can't stand folks who are always on his case, or more precisely, on his nuts.

He isn't the biggest problem we face and he can't do it all himself when he gets zero service.

Am I ever on his case? Go back and read my commentary threads, and you will see that I am the last person that is critical of him.

I just felt like defending Gilardino. Its the Italien in me. Now I'm off to get some tacos.

Seriously, I've been craving them since yesterday

He isn't Italian yet. When he is, then we can blame him for it. As of now, I blame his hair.
That was regarding Gila.

Well, you have been on his case before. Remember the whole Dunga-Brazil-Amauri discussion? ;)
