Viola snub Montolivo-Amauri offer

Monday 23 May, 2011

Fiorentina have reportedly turned down an offer from Juventus, which included Amauri, for Riccardo Montolivo.

The Italian is set to leave the Viola in the summer after so far refusing to sign a contract extension. His current deal expires in June 2012.

According to Mediaset, the Old Lady have already been in talks with the Tuscan club regarding the former Atalanta youngster.

The report claims that Juventus made a player plus cash offer, with Amauri the man offered to the Artemio Franchi outfit.

However, despite Amauri’s return to scoring form at Parma, Fiorentina are understood to have rejected the approach.

Amauri has been on loan at Parma for the last six months, but will return to Juventus during the summer.

Inter are also understood to be keen on Montolivo.

Well looks like Viola's management aren't as dumb as ours (thought they were)

“I believe that Giovinco will stay here and we’ll take up the option to buy half of his contract,” the Tardini chief noted.

“This will be an important solution for Juventus too as it will allow the boy to play with regularity.

“Amauri? We’ll have to wait and see.”

The Parma guy also said “Borini is already ours and we are defining the last details for Pellè. I can’t talk about Bianchi as he is still trying to get promoted with Torino.”

They're not buying Amauri...

Nothing wrong with this, let's insert him in the Pastore deal to bring his price down. Zamparini already said that he would welcome Amauri back. 20 M euros+Amauri should do the job.
