[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Juventus are prepared to sell Amauri in the summer as their interest in Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini hots up.

Amauri has scored just fours goals this season, all of them coming in the space of 11 days in October - too few for a striker who cost Juventus €23m in May 2008.

After scoring 11 goals in his first 17 games for the Bianconeri, Amauri managed just five in 2009.

Juventus still feel they can recoup a large chunk of their initial investment, especially given the high esteem in which Chelsea and Manchester City hold Amauri.

The Bianconeri also need an influx of cash if they are to land Pazzini who Sampdoria value at between €22m and €25m.

Tuttosport understands Pazzini is Juventus's first choice and that efforts to procure him will continue in spite of the precarious managerial situation in Turin.

Roberto Bettega, the club's vice-general manager, would like to add more Italians to the ranks and he has already set about doing so, signing Antonio Candreva and bringing back Michele Paolucci.

David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero are also out of contract at the end of the season, and while the latter is widely expected to get a renewal, Trezeguet will be flaunted on the market.

You do realize that bringing in those two means no long term,quality upgrades for our defense.The entire transfer budget would be blown on those two & you can sure as hell expect more free washed up transfers & loans.

I was talking Cassano in a season or so. Reports suggest Trez & Amauri, the funds raised from that will be more than how much Pazzo costs. Hell, I see City/Chelski, if rumours are true, over-spending on Amauri.

It's all wishful thinking. So is life as a Juventus supporter now.
