Lanzafame: I Want West Ham, Not Palermo

Amauri’s proposed transfer to Juventus may be set for yet another hitch after one of the pawns in the deal, Davide Lanzafame, stated that he would prefer to join West Ham instead of Palermo.

"Palermo and West Ham are both huge clubs," stated the striker.

"But at my age I think it would be beneficial to have an experience abroad, which would enhance me not only as a footballer, but also from a linguistic and lifestyle point of view."

You gotta love how goal.com perverted the truth there....

Lanzafame did not say he would refuse Palermo... in fact, if you read his quotes, he said he would love to go there. He admitted he'd rather go to West Ham, but that might not be the cards this season, and I think he's mature enough to realize that.

I don't expect any problems on this front.

Old Lady on the brink of Amauri

Wednesday 21 May, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Palermo ace Amauri is just days away from completing a move to Juventus, his agents have confirmed.

The talented marksman has been on his way from Sicily to Turin for the last month, but were been whispers that Milan or Real Madrid could hijack the deal.

However, Juve are now unopposed and have agreed a £9m deal with the Rosanero that will see Antonio Nocerino move in the opposite direction, along with fellow Azzurrini man Davide Lanzafame, who will be co-owned.

The Grimaldi brothers, who act as Amauri’s agents, met with Juve directors Jean-Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco this afternoon and seem poised to finalise the deal.

“The negotiations have reached a good stage, in fact excellent,” a statement from the agents read.

“We are satisfied and there are only a few small details still to be completed. When will he sign? Soon, probably within the next week.”

Amauri is expected to arrive in Turin before the end of the week for a meeting that could end in his transfer becoming official.

I wish we would just finish with this transfer. So that we would concentrate on other targets.

PS: I also hate how some websites twist the comments made by players.

I'd put my money on this aborting.

As I said last night, Lanzafame will not go to Palermo. Again. as I said last night, for the directors to propose Lanzafame as part of the deal without his consent makes the club look idiotic.

Sick stuff, Zamparini says our board called him and asked for 2 million euro to sign the contract with Amauri.

Zamparini doesent like it, souuundss sick but our board is sick :D
