Zamparini: Amauri Deal Nearly done

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Amauri’s move to Juventus is all but complete…

Negotiations have dragged on for the past fortnight between the Rosanero and the Bianconeri, and it appears the deal to take the Brazilian striker to Turin is almost done.

Talks hit stumbling blocks when Juve were apparently reluctant to meet Palermo’s demands, which involved a player swap that would take three youngsters from the Old Lady – including Sebastian Giovinco, one of Italy’s hottest prospects.

And Zamparini, who stands firm in his demands, insists he wants the deal wrapped up as soon as possible.

“I am tired of this story and have told our director of sport Rino Foschi to close up negotiations in the first few days of next week,” announced Zamparini.

“In the transfer market you never can tell, but we are talking to Juve right now and have not changed our strategy from 15 days ago.

“The Bianconeri directors know full well which three players we want in exchange for Amauri. Anything else is talk spread around by agents.”

We don't want to sell Giovinco, and they won't sell Amauri unless we do. Seems like this deal won't go through.

Its Secco, so u never know, I hope to god he does not want to sell Giovinco, the stupidity of selling Giovinco and getting Amauri would be unbelievable.

He doesn't want to sell him. As it says, the deal came to a stand still because of that. Since Palermo aren't changing their demands, Secco will either: give in and sell him, or back out. Hopefully we can get him without including Giovinco.

Nor do we really need another backup striker that badly that we lose 3 players in a deal for him, its all stupid really.

The stupid part is you guys talking about your paranoid fantasies like its reality, when we KNOW Giovinco or the other 2 loaned out starlets have been confirmed to come back. And there is 0% chance Gio would ever be swapped for Amauri.

YOU are being stupid with constantly repeating the notion, and not Secco and our board who have already confirmed Italy's best talent WILL comeback to Juve 100%. Give it up already.

Sorry for the tone, but you should get this already, and not hamper on it despite the very notion of it defying any logic whatsoever.

Sorry man didn't mean to annoy you, but to be honest Secco seems to himself defy any logic whatsoever sometimes, that is the reason we are a little paranoid, but i apologize because u seem truly annoyed.

Cheers! that's what i was praying all the time. People don't see that they are calling him names without any reason. I mean who said gio will be swapped? no one! some tribalfootball site just mentionned a maybe and everyone goes for it and blames secco for it... man, that's just stupid

Can anyone actually tell me why secco doesn't act logically? i don't see what he did wrong, or at least so horribly wrong that it hurt juve. He supposedly wanted to sell someone (can't even remember whom), which then was vetoed. OK, so what?

Secco is not an ignorant twat.He knows that he'll get crucified if Giovinco is sold.Im 110% that he wont do so.Plus, the article only mentions why the talks were in danger of collapsing. It doesnt mention anything about what the new deal is.Either way,Giovinco will be with us next season. There are simply no two ways about it.

Offering Del Piero and Trezeguet new contracts that were mere pittance compared to their last ones is just the start of Secco's idiocy. I mean, it took Bettega to step in and save his ass with those dealings FFS.

I agree. Giovinco will be back. The board confirmed so people should not be worried. People should give secco more time. After all we are all human and everyone makes mistakes. We had money problems last season after the return of seria a and it wasn't easy to get players to play for us. Now it will be easier even if Juve can't and wown't spend cash like Inter or Milan do. On other thing is that it wasn't secco's fault that Tiago flopped. Tiago was and still is a great player but he is just isn't showing it whit us. It could be a tactical problem but that isn't Secco's or the boards fault.

Just give them time people. IMO they are doing some great things. Look at the stadium we are going to have. As much as i liked the old trio Moggi and Co we would not have a new stadium if they would be still in the board. Blanc is a very very wise man and a very good buisness man.

Just give them time.

Regards

Simon
