Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira (29 Viewers)

At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

  • Nocerino + Almiron + Marchionni

  • Almiron + Marchionni + cash

  • Fuck no, don't want him at all

  • Almiron+cash

well if his agent can get him more $$$ @ roma then we cannot compete with that. plus if he came here he would have to compete against serie A's top 2 scorers for a starting role

i dont undrestand these people !
what did they see in amauri ?

amauri is pure shit !

look at his stat,
in messina (2002-2003) he played 23 times and scored 4 !
after that he played 3 season for chievo.in these 3 season he scored 4,2 and 11 !
it means 3 season he played,17 goals scored tottaly !
then he moved to palermo
first season 8 goals.
and current season 13 goals.

i make some examples,

suazo, the 2 time best foregin player of seria A .
the one who last season scored 22 goals for caglieri.
before that he scored 18 goals.
and he is the one who save his team with his goals from relegation to serie B.

what was the price of suazo ? 10m.
what was the price of fernando torres ? 20 m?
what was the price of theiry henry ? 20 m
(check the wikipedia)

Where is souzo right now ? on the bench with record of 8 goals in this season.

are we going to give amauri 20m and put him on the bench ?

i even dont undrestand Why on earth juventus talking about him !
 You've got to be kidding me.

Smokescreen. :howler:

Give me a break.
:lol2: Smokescreen, I'm tired of that word already.

It'd just be an idiotic vote from someone wanting to be different lol

I can't believe somebody actually voted for first 3 options on this poll :wth:
Why? I don't like either Criscito or De Ceglie. I have been far from impressed with those players. We can do better.

Who knows, Amauri might have been a smokescreen after all :xfinger:

it's not that easy! First of all, I rate amauri as a finisher, and i'm pretty sure he can do better (and by 'do better' i mean 'score more goals') if he's served the right balls. I mean it's quite different if you play for chievo or messina, and you get 1 or 2 useful balls per game, or if you are properly served some crosses or passes from a camo or neddy or so. I mean imagine trez in messina. I don't think he'll score his 20 goals either. Although many see amauri as a del piero sub, i rate more of a classical finisher, but with dribbling abilities. So to say; something between del piero and trez. And i'd say this is the ideal reinforcement up front. Whether or not we could have landed someone younger/better with that money remains open, but i think amauri can 'repace' del piero's role (not dp himself of course :)) or trez's as a finisher.
You're right of course that his stats are not really impressive, but i think he'll do his job with us (if he comes)

And then, forget those 25 mio. Of course zamparini wants to get the best out of him, but i think we're far away from giving them 25 mio. Imo, we'll give them something around 10-12 mio plus noce (and maybe some youngster we won't ever need) and if it is like that, i think we'll have done a decent deal. not a bargain of course, but it's ok. Try to grab a striker nowadays, you won't find a team who takes someone like nocerino in exchange...

In all fairness, although I rate Amauri as a very skillful player and a rather accurate finisher, he isn't exactly the most consistent player out there. He has the abilities, granted, but I have noticed that he has been unable to perform at the same level consistently.

He has some good days, but too many off-days follow after that. That's the ony worry I have about him. I have no doubts about his abilities, I have seen enough to be able to conclude that he is one of the most skillful attackers in serie A however, he has failed to convince me in most of the games I have seen him play in.

I admit i do had some up and downs with Amuari......but, the chart does not mean anything to me

Think about it, I can pull up a chart of Gilardino and say lets go for him while, he was at parma and now look at him he has a hard time finding the net..

Even Suazo, he had great seasons with Cagliari and now on Inter he is showing like he can when he was at Cagliari..(in 23 app. he ony has 8 goals)

A good example would be Luca Toni, no 1 would even look twice at him until he hit his prime....

Amuari looks like he is gonna do the same at 28 years old same as Toni when he really started to peek at Palermo then made a big move to Fiorentina then a bigger move to Bayern....now Toni is one of the best strikers in the world at the age of 30

Charts don't mean crap to me...each player peeks and develops differently

So much of it is about mentality.

If a player isn't mentally tough enough, he will not be a success at a big club because he will not be able to handle the pressure.

If you want another good point even tho he is not a Fwd...but even Camo...he didn't have great stats or people even knew him and he peeked at a late stage...now look at him he is one of our best players

Lol if his heart truly isnt with juve, then i would like for him to piss off. However, this is most likely just a strategic way of making his price that little bit higher.
No offence mate but move into the 21st century.. Heart & loyalty doesn't mean shit anymore

Tell that to Del Piero, Buffon, Trezeguet, Nedved and Camoranesi. Money does rule almost everything in football nowadays though, i wont argue against that, but if the player doesnt rly care where he plays then id rather some1 who rly wants to perform for Juve.

Amauri rushes through Juve move Sunday 4 May, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amauri’s move to Juventus will be sorted out in the next week, insists Palermo patron Maurizio Zamparini.

The player and Sicilian club have already stated the deal is “91 per cent” done, but there are problems emerging.

“I am tired of this story and have told our director of sport Rino Foschi to close up negotiations in the first few days of next week,” announced Zamparini.

He had opened the door to Milan and admitted that was still a possibility, although it is probably only a bargaining tool.

“In the transfer market you never can tell, but we are talking to Juve right now and have not changed our strategy from 15 days ago.

“The Bianconeri directors know full well which three players we want in exchange for Amauri. Anything else is talk spread around by agents.”

Palermo have requested several impressive youngsters as part of the swap deal, including Sebastian Giovinco, who is currently on loan at Empoli.

NO WAY!!!!
