Amauri: I Could Join Milan Instead Of Juve

Palermo striker Amauri has sensationally revealed that he could join Milan instead of Juventus, while his agent has also expressed doubt over a move to Turin.

Amauri had looked virtually certain to join the Bianconeri, with the Italian press branding the transfer as good as completed.

However in a shocking admission, the 27-year-old has said that he is considering a move to Milan.

“If I could, I would play six months for Juve and six for Milan,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“There are lots of my compatriots playing for the Rossoneri and they are an attractive option, but one big squad is the same as another.”

Amauri’s agent Mariano Grimaldi has also raised some question marks after he denied that he was planning to meet Juve sporting director Alessio Secco to finalise a deal.

“There is no meeting scheduled with Secco,” Grimaldi told Laromasiamonoi, before then bringing Roma into the discussion.

“Last week I spoke to Alessio, but just as I speak to various clubs on a regular basis, including Milan who are also an interested party.

“At the moment I am in Rome. I have spoken to Roma’s sporting director Daniele Pradè who wanted information on the situation. “He told me that as soon as they sort out the questions regarding the club’s direction, we would speak again.

“There isn’t any definitive agreement with anyone yet. We haven’t even talked about money with Juventus. The summer transfer market is still some way off and we are just at the early stages.

“I can only repeat that we are weighing up various offers and I will be more precise in the future.

“The player just wants to play for the best clubs. He enjoyed being in Rome and has lots of friends there, but at the moment there are lots of factors to consider.”

He also could be another Ibrahomobitch , so watch up guys :soapit:

Amauri's a twat!

whats happening with Barzagli... I don't fancy Legrotagglie in the starting line-up for next season and judging by everyones dream juve 08/09, noone else fancies him in their starting line-up, nor mellberg... So is there anything about us signing a "Champion" Centre Back??

I heard Bayern Munich are weighing up a bid for Barzagli

Imo Zapata or Meira can be by far better solutions for CD that Barzagli....i just don't rate him high...

Probably more expensive as well...but better.

Juve close Amauri gap

Just £500,000 stands between Juventus and Amauri after advanced contract negotiations yesterday.

Juve sporting director Alessio Secco met the Amauri’s agent Mariano Grimaldi in Milan yesterday hoping to make a concrete deal for the in-demand hitman.

An agreement between the two clubs involved seems imminent, but the player has thrown the move into question by flirting with Milan and Roma.

Reports suggest that Grimaldi demanded a wage of £3.25m per year plus bonuses, but the Old Lady are tabling around £2.75m before their performance incentives.

It is now expected that promising midfielder Antonio Nocerino will join Palermo in a part-exchange deal, but there are whispers that the Rosanero are also demanding Davide Lanzafame.

Dangerous hitman Lanzafame is one of calcio’s rising stars and has netted 10 times at Bari, where he is on loan.

However, he may refuse to join the Sicilians because his heart is set on a move to Genoa.

“Lanzafame has expressed a desire to play for us,” Genoa President Enrico Preziosi admitted.

“But I’m sure that with a little reasoning we can find an arrangement that suits everyone.”

I heard 2.5m €/year. That would be a good deal for Juve since Flamini would get 4m.

I don't mind seeing Nocerino in any deal. A co-ownership would be wise. He's not a promising mid since he's close to 25. He should be close to full potential.

I'm still hoping we get the other guy though. :D
