At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

  • Nocerino + Almiron + Marchionni

  • Almiron + Marchionni + cash

  • Fuck no, don't want him at all

Personally i see this as a waste of transfer as we already have DP, Trez, Iaquinta all fantastic players and add to that Palladino to add to the depth. I really dont see the need for Amauri. Maybe if he was younger and could add something then yes i would consider him. In all honesty all this money and player swapping i believe will be wasted on a player who will be at par with what we already have, spending this much money should be improving our squad not taking a side step.

we got to add this player to our squad cuz we are going te need better attackers if we want to survive in CL ...

so drop nocerino and marchionni and give m sum $$$ to get him.

i dont mind losing almiron on him to.
maybe adding Barzagli to strengten our defence as well

How much would you guys pay for Marchionni if you were owners of
some club ?
Would you even think of buying Marchionni, even if he's offered for 1m eur ? He spent the best 2 years of any midfielder's career injured. Whenever he makes a comeback he returns to the hospital after 1 week max.
Knowing that Marchionni will ask for wages not lower than 1.0-1.5 m euro, i doubt any team is willing to pay money to buy Marchionni.

It's hard to put a number for Marchionni's price.
That's why this deal is actually 13m eur+Nocerino. I won't even count Marchionni because Palermo will only be doing us a favour if they take him from us.

It's another thing if you don't want Amauri, but 20m eur is his market price. Attackers are very expensive. If reports are true then Real offered 25m eur and Milan were willing to offer the same amount until Zamparini clearly said that he'd give his players to any other team but Milan.
13m eur+Nocerino isn't even equal to 20m eur. It's around 18m eur. Hey, if we add Marchionni it's even less than 18m eur because the guy doesn't play at all and only takes your money for his wages. :)

Market-wise, we're getting Amauri for less than his market price. Yeah, perhaps it's not a fair price, but with the lack of good attackers offered at the market, every good attacker is overrated and so is Amauri.

But Colantuono ALWAYS plays with two wingers, his entire play is based on that. And Currently Palermo have no true wingers, Marchionni is perfect(those two games a season he's fit) for him.

but some guys here thing amauri is the solution of our problems.... he's a good striker but still he has to prove himself...

my words. Exactly what i tried to say some posts ago. Marchionni still is in our squad because selling him would be crazy. You can't ask more than 1 or 2 millions for him. Nocerino might be a bit different but at this moment of his career, it's not even much better. If they are not needed, the only thing you can do with them is to swap them, and nobody at ajax (for huntelaar) or at atletico (for aguero) for example would be willing to take noce and marchionni. It's clear that the only market they have is inside serie-a. And as far as attackers go, i think amauri might be one of the best attackers of serie-a (it's doubtable, i have my thoughts too, but atm his form is awesome).
The only thing we could argue about is whether or not we should have pointed for a defender instead. This could be an argument. otherwise, the deal is fine. Face it; marchionni is just plain useless to us. He had like 220 minutes of playtime for us this season... that's nothing. we won't have the opportunity for getting this much out of them any soon i think.

This is a better way to sacrifice Marchionni: A swap with Pasqual.

Scambio Pasqual-Marchionni tra Fiorentina e Juve?
    10 04 2008

Well, I don't want to lose Nocerino but it seems that this is a fair deal.
With the arriving of Sissoko, and the return of Marchisio we will have too many CMs so there will not be enough space for Noce:(
13 M+Nocerino+Nothing(ok, Marchionni) is not bad, and we know how difficult is to negotiate with Zamparini...
I'd still prefer the Hunter though:undecide:

I'd do this deal in an instant. I have seen little improvement or flashes of potential from Nocerino this season (unfortunately) and Marchionni doesn't really figure into our plans. Not a bad trade-off for one of the better strikers out there. Trez and Alex aren't getting any younger...
