At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

Well it looks like the end of the saga is in sight today. Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira is a Juventus player next week if the ever reliable Tuttosport is right. Headlined "JUVE SI FIRMA: OGGI NUOVO INCONTRO A TORINO PER CHIUDERE" it looks as though the management are hellbent on closing the deal. This means that the player is now 97.50% downloaded.

This will probably mean the end to my hopes of seeing Huntelaar in a Juve shirt.

It's scant consolation to read in World Soccer, in their player profiles of the Dutch squad ahead of the Euro 2008 finals, the following comments:-

"KLAUS-JAN HUNTELAAR 12/08/1983 Ajax 11 Caps (6 goals). .. In-form striker, leading the Dutch league scorers' chart and set to join a bigger, foreign club. A serious candidate to replace Van Nistelrooy in the Holland starting line-up. Lacks a bit of pace"

Doubtless there will be an official announcement of the Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira deal by around noon today.

though i think we are paying too much for him, he will be a success at Juve IMO. we dont need to worry about scoring goals next season, Amauri, Del Piero, Trezeguet, Iaquinta? Palladino? with Giovinco providing assists, these guns will finish teams off! bring on Inter and the CL.

(Corriere dello sport)

------------------------------
10-12mil+Nocerino+1/2 of Lanzafame or Marchisio.

(beacuse of the failure to bring Seba-that what in bold says)

Marchisio definitely isn't the class Giovino is, he's older and although showing some potential, I can't see him becoming a world class player. If it's an only way to get Amauri, I don't mind selling half of Marchisio and than taking Cigarini as a backup CM from degraded Parma.
