The Allievi Nazionali exacted revenge on inter-city rivals Torino by running out 1-0 winners at Chisola this afternoon.
Ivano Della Morte’s youngsters, who slipped to defeat in this season’s first meeting of the sides, secured local bragging rights through Degrassi’s goal on the stroke of half time.
The victory, streamed live on Juventus.com, will provide a much needed morale boost as the Bianconeri, currently in second place, aim to close the four-point gap on the Granata.
Speaking after the game, Della Morte expressed his satisfaction: “We prepared well for the game, with the right drive. This enabled us to win a difficult encounter. I’m happy with the performances of the two players born in 1997. Audero made some great saves, while Romagna will now link up with the Primavera for their Viareggio Cup campaign.”
