
There's just over a month to go until the Allievi Nazionali B officially get the new season under way. Newly appointed coach Giuseppe Angelini is preparing to lead the U-16s as they embark on the 2012/13 league campaign, which will see Juventus test their mettle against 13 professional and amateur teams in Group A.
The format is the same as last year: professional outfits can field boys born in 1997 plus the over-age players, while amateur sides put out line-ups featuring lads that are a year older.
Week 1 fixtures are scheduled to take place on Sunday 16 September. The first half of the season ends on 16 December, ahead of the winter break, then league action starts up again on 13 January 2013. The final championship match is due to take place on Sunday 21 April. That's when the competitive season will end for the Allievi B: like all professional U-16 teams, the Bianconeri Allievi Nazionali B compete in the amateur U-17 league but cannot qualify for the end-of-season play-offs or finals.
There is one only change to Group A compared to last term as Vallée d’Aoste come in to replace Valenzana. Here is Juventus' group in full:
