The Allievi will be aiming to secure their sixth Carlin’s Boys triumph when they kick off their campaign this evening in Sanremo.
For the 55th staging of the much-heralded youth competition, Ivano Della Morte’s side have been drawn in Group 1 alongside Carlin’s Boys and Virtus Entella.
The Bianconeri will begin by taking on the hosts at the Stadio Comunale (kick-off 8.15pm). The Ligurian outfit already face a battle to qualify for the semi-finals after slipping to a 4-2 defeat in yesterday’s meeting with Virtus Entella.
Juventus will face the Dutch side in their final group game tomorrow. The top team from each group will progress through to the semi-finals, to be played on Friday 31 August.
Previous successes in 1961, 1967, 1997, 1998 and 2004 will leave the Bianconeri optimistic of reaching the final on Saturday 1 September.
