Man City-Sanchez: €28m plus Weiss?

It is reported in Italy that Manchester City have a deal for Alexis Sanchez worth €28m plus Vladimir Weiss.
Barcelona, Juventus, Inter and Manchester United have all shown an interest in the Udinese talent.

According to Datasport this morning, City have leapt into the lead of this race for El Nino Maravilla.

Sanchez has been rated at €35m, so Roberto Mancini is proposing a €28m cash sum plus ownership of midfielder Weiss, who has now returned to base after a loan spell at Glasgow Rangers.

As for personal terms, Sanchez is offered a long-term contract worth €3.5m per season.

So who's next on radar? Since Conte wants versatile wingers I guess Bastos.
If the other reports are true, our offer of €30m+player isn't inferior to City's offer. Only the proposed wages give advantage to the English (we apparently offer €2.5m while City offers €3.5m).
Sanchez's agent is meeting us tomorrow or Tuesday. Lets wait to see what will our last offer be. If we offer a similar amount and Udinese sell him to City, then it's their loss too. They produce guys like Sanchez once in a decade or more, but they sell guys like Pepe, Iaquinta and Motta regularly to us so I wonder if they'd like to lose a regular buyer like us.

We're a big Italian team and small teams like Udinese depend on us, just like teams like Sunderland depend on United, Pool, Chelsea where they sell their overrated players for much higher price than they can get abroad. Marotta should know this and play dirty with Pozzo.

It should be simple: You don't sell Sanchez to us and you want to earn some 4-5 millions more? Cool, take back Pepe and Motta, we don't want them. Lets see if anyone will pay you 12m eur for them.

He can play that sort of game with Udine, but the fact of the matter is it all comes down to the bid and where Sanchez wants to go. And I think some idiot would pay 12M for Pepe and Motta since one already agreed to it...

The part in bold is the most important one, that's clear. Since Sanchez already made it clear that he prefers Italy to England at this point, we must work on improving our offer to Sanchez rather than entering a bidding war with City and fall into Pozzo's trap. With Udinese we just play a simple game: "This is our offer for you, we don't plan to go any higher than that. Now lets discuss Pepe and Motta!"

Syndicated reports now referring to an increased bid tmro from M City re Sanchez. Figure mentioned is €38m. No indication on I'd this is a straight cash bid or whether or not the player has concerns about playing in England, rather than Italy.
