Refresh my memory please will you...what was the result of our last 2 encounters with the eventual champions Inter last season and what kind of humiliating performance we had at the San Siro last season as well! and what about Lazio who managed to end last season with an impressive record against us.

I am pretty sure I said the last two years chief. Not to mention our less than credible injury plagued season I would say you seriously are low balling our team for what they were able to do last year with a limited and under rested squad. He's better than our current fullbacks that's for sure. We can't get Evra, Cole, Clichy...Great LB's are rare and we should go for the next big thing. Adriano, Filipe, Kolarov or Obradovic would be my picks.

Well since teams can spend 50 million so easily, lets just blow another couple mill on one of them and spend our way into debt and end up like Milan so some people here can be happy for a season.

One of the reasons that i never rated Secco (and probably never will) is the fact that he always prefer to take the easiest solution out.

The Poulsen-zanetti situation is the perfect example here. Everyone knows that we want to sell poulsen which makes perfect sence : high salary, if sold will get us in atleast 6-7 mil thats four times the money they'll get from selling zanetti plus he's not really needed in the team with Melo's arrival.

they couldn't sell him so the next easiest move is to sell zanetti instead for almost nothing (1.5 mil euros ). Last season we did the same, tried to buy alonso couldn't get him and instead went for poulsen (a player we absalutely didn't need) yet we paid almost 10 mil euros and gave him a ridicolous wage of 3 mil a year and now they're stoked with him.

spending 50 mil euros on two players is never an achievement IMO, its just a money that was made available to the man (thanks to our staff + players and management's hards work).

You wouldn't have to explain your posts to anyone if they made sense.

What you don't seem to understand, even the best teams with the best defenders get scored on. That includes up to but not limited to these "great" defenders getting caught out of position on multiple occasions. Hell, even Buffon gets caught out of position. What about Chiellini when he makes a silly foul or stupid error? It is so easy to blame an area when more things go into a goal that just a defender getting caught out of position. I don't think you ever take that into consideration because it is so easy for you to join in the anti-defense chorus.

If I had a "head up my ass picture" that might do some justice in describing some of your posts.

I was talking about forwards because the last time I check a team loses with 11, not 4 defenders which you seem so passionate about degrading. Again, if you don't take into account the fact that with 4 defenders and a goalie there are still another 6 players out there (most of the time) that may make mistakes that could turn into an unexpected counter attack or whateverrr....

All you see is the ball going into the next but you don't take the time to actually analyze how the entire play happened leading up to the goal and who made the initial mistake(s). Again, for you its so easy to just point at the defense.

If you want to change the discussion in order to make another point then it is not a discussion about defenders and our weak points anymore is it? Unless of course we are expecting Amauri to do the defending on the wings instead of the fullbacks. Before you intervened with your ridiculous observation we were talking about our weakest points..we are not talking about the middle, we are not talking about Melo or Sissoko...we are talking about fullbacks since as I mentioned before it is one of the msoti mportant roles in a diamond formation.
