I have read your same post several times, why would I read it all over again? You are THE definition of a broken record. A broken record that says wrong news all the time. Instead of posting drama, answer my question, HAVE YOU BEEN WITH SECCO WHILE HE'S NEGOTIATING TO JUDGE HIS NEGOTIATING SKILLS?

And moan and praise Milan's and Fiorentina's transfers. :seven:
-Wrong news? Thats speculative and subjective...
-No, did you?? Judging by his transfers though, some safe/certain conclusions can be made! These are hard facts you cant/shouldnt ignore!
-Transfer success is one thing, performance is another one.

Facts!!

A transfer committed is a fact!!
The ignorance of our team's needs and priorities is a fact!
The lack of vision and back-tracking of these certain transfers are hard facts!!

Delusioned bla bla bla

Consider this my last reply to you, you obviously lack rationale for my likings. For me you live in a created world of your own, I'd rather not go there.

It was a nice attempt to pull put some reason out of you, I promise I won't try it again.

1- Who did he overpay? And how do you know the deal could have been sealed at a less amount of money?
2- Which other players that were bought as starters and failed? Tiago and Almiron where Tiago has finally adapted well and is now hopefully a starter. Andrade got injured, whose fault was that?
3- Is it Secco that makes the saga or is it the media?
4- Who promised world class players?

What did we miss?
2. 2 starters is pretty good. Right now we only need 1 CB, which could be taken over by Criscito or Andrade, 2 fullbacks and Nedved's replacement. If Tiago turns out good, that will be 3.

4. If you meant the world-class midfielder, Poulsen fits the bill. He is one of the best DMs in the Spanish league. Or do you mean a player you like instead--a world-class creator?
1.he surley overpaid for amauri and sissoko but i accept this because both are great now. but i wouldn't have paid 10 mil for andrade or 8 mil for almiron.

2. tiago failed (even if he will now get playing time sitting one year on the bench is a fail. foremost he was supposed to be the big signing.
almiron ---> fail
andrade---->fail / of course he got injured and nobody could be blamed for that but he had a history....
poulsen --> not a fail but we could have done better

3. it is the media. but i never heard so much talked about a player we r linked with under moggi. look at milito or amauri. i blame him for not finishing the moves quickly enough or talk to much to the media about our targets.

4. i think it was secco and gigli that promised us a world class cb and a midfielder.

@dogsarecute 2 starters are good?2 years ago 6-7 starters left the club. not to mention that he bought much more players and most of them are sitting on the bench or are loaned out. and u want 1cb 2 fullbacks and a neddy replacement? that makes 4 new starters secco couldn't handled it in 2 years. but u want us to buy 4 starters in the summer.... and don't forget dp trez and camo aren't getting any younger....
secco should have done much better especially in the defence. other than chillini we have no great defender.

"There will be very little movement incoming or outgoing," stated Secco with regards to the club’s squad.

"We have the right foundations and they are solid so we can point towards [signing] quality. We need players who can make the difference [in any given game].

"Diego? He doesn't have the characteristics to play in our 4-4-2 system."

well is anything is gonna change????. if he doesnt stop bitching around were is he gonna sign these players who can make a difference. the diego dream also seems to be dying

Secco: Juve quality, not quantity

Juventus transfer guru Alessio Secco outlines their summer spending plans and assures Claudio Ranieri “will be here for a long time.”

The director of sport’s contract is renewed next week despite his unpopularity with the fans for what they consider to be sub-standard signings.

“When I was originally hired, there was a lot – and I mean a lot – of scepticism. My renewal is an eloquent response to those critics,” he told Tuttosport.

“It is true to say I am 'The spiritual son of Luciano Moggi’, as he taught me many things, but then at the end of the day everyone makes their own mind up and I have a strong character.”

The lack of any January buys further irritated the fans, but Secco is already looking to the future.

“The club has set aside an impressive budget for the summer, but with very few actual moves in or out planned.

“A couple of years ago we had to start the squad from scratch and bought many players who, in the circumstances, could not all be champions as we would need 10 Roman Abramovich-style magnates to pay for them all.

“Now the foundations are solid and we can target quality, in other words individuals who genuinely make the difference.”

Among the contenders are Spaniard David Silva, Werder Bremen star Diego and Sampdoria firecracker Antonio Cassano.

“Considering our style of play, which is the 4-4-2, Diego is not a player with compatible characteristics,” warned Secco.

One of those walking away could be youth product Sebastian Giovinco, increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team football.

“We’ll get to the end of the season first and then we will talk about it.”

Ranieri’s position was in doubt after a mid-season slump, so will his future depend on the Scudetto and Champions League results?

“Our Coach has shown right from the start he is very loyal to the club, a professional who knows how to act and stay within the rules. I have the utmost respect for him. I think Ranieri and Juventus will be together for a long time.”

Some naysayers suggested captain Alessandro Del Piero was the one dictating transfer policy, but Secco laughs off the allegations.

“Del Piero has a very important position within the squad, as we know how talented and wise he is. That’s a long way from saying he’s in charge, though. If anything, as captain he leads his teammates on the field.”

This weekend Juventus have the chance to close in on leaders Inter, as they face Sampdoria while the Nerazzurri take on Milan.

“Inter remain the strongest side and in my view the only team overall superior to Juventus, but not by much. The seven points that divide us in the table are excessive,” concluded the director of sport.

---------------------------------

What annoying trifecta of statements, we actually renewed with this guy, says Ranieri will stay for a long time (highly depressing) and even alludes a little Giovinco may leave. Man it better be a fucking great summer for signings.

He didn't mention Giovinco at all it was just media talks.

Thanks for clarifying Dou-chan, I was about to go all Cronios batshit crazy with that angle ;)
;)

Osman/Dule m8's,

Who do you both wish for us to sign in the summer, realisticly?,due to he said about quality signings not quantity?.
My priority would be to sign Silva and Ivanovic.

But I think we are going to sign someone great to replace Nedved, some right back,1 back up on Knezevic's place and some AMR.

-Silva
-Eboue
-Mattias
-New AMR

If he really starts going on quality over quantity, bringing in fewer, but more reliable and with a far better potential players. Then i will take back 60% of the things i ve said about him, since this was my main point of criticism on him.

I will not even ask of him to make any kind of a decent income from the sales of our players. At least spend the money he "inherited" decently.
And i will only ask of respecting our priorities and needs, planning ahead with vision, or at least with some certain plan in mind.

No one is ever going to repair the damage Secco has done in our club, so far, but at least, this newly announced policy would give us the boost we need to succeed on the future!

I hope that Secco wont disappoint me again, i honestly do!

PS Most promising news i ve heard in a while and they come from Osman!!

"sampdoria firecracker Cassano"....now that's a transfer..go ahead secco...buy more strikers..thats what we need...firecrakers...and sell the best young talent in italy...of course tuttosport is right with: "his unpopularity with the fans for what they consider to be sub-standard signings" and "the lack of any January buys further irritated the fans". This could be the worst scenario..hope he will wake up in a morning and say: "why the deuce cassano" and slap himself on the face.

Yeah, Cassano would be a real waste, unless the sale of Iaq funds the biggest part of his sale. But again i would prefer a goalscorer and someone less problematic than Cassano. But this order exceeds Secco's power, Cassano has fans in our highest ranks of hierarchy...
I dont think we will sell Giovinco, but we might loan him out though, esp if we bring someone like Cassano.
I only hope that we wont forget our defense again...

Why do we need Goalscorers we we have Del & Trez and Amauri who pops up now and again,Despite being a idiot Cassano is still Technicaly alot more gifted than most of our players. If he comes I will be happy if he doesen't well we move on,I agree he should'nt be a priority but if we do sign him I wont moan about it.

He managed to put in two sentences what i've been saying for almost two years and what some members here still can't understand.
