- Talks about transfers, Melllberg is the only defender we are getting and there will be only 2 other transfers coming in.
- 4-4-2 is the formation of play and we will buy players according to them being able to play in it
- He defended the players brought and saying they should all be first choice and we have a great group of players.

They either except Mellberg to be very good or they want to keep the chemistry Chiellini and Legro have developed in tact. I still reckon we can forget about Andrade ever returning(he wont be a serious part of the team anyway).
Bringing in only two players, to me means that they'll fill the squad with our youngsters. So Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie probably will return. The leftback position will be between De Ceglie and Molinaro, I doubt if we're buying two players, one of those will be a leftback. It might though.
Still 4-4-2, we'll still rely on Nedved on the left with Giovinco getting the oppertunity to slowly take over. I reckon it will be rather sooner than later, due to Giovinco's ability, with Nedved mainly playing the CL. Camo on the right obviously. Sissoko has cemented his place, with the other spot probably between Zanetti and between the player, whom I expect the new signing will be. With Marchisio as backup.
Upfront, I reckon the Amauri signing will come to fruition, I think we'll get him. One could argue overkill, but Amauri-Trez-Iaquinta-DP, does look very mighty. Gives us tactical options, if Nedved fades and Giovinco needs more time to step up.

I don`t think buying just two players in summer would be smart.
I knew we won`t buy any CB.I knew we are going to stick with damn Mellberg.I don`t think he`s bad but I wanted someone much better on that place.
Sticking with Molinaro is very stupid.Guy can`t do the job,especially next year in Champions League.I hope De Ceglie takes his place.
Well,Nedved will probably stay for one more year and having Giovinco as his replacement is great I think.Gio can learn and he`ll surely get his chance since we`ll play much more matches next year.
Zebina is injury prone and we can`t say Grygera is good since he played 2 matches fine and the rest of them he was just real pain to watch.So I think sticking with two of them is a bad choice.
We are going to have millions of players in middle.Sissoko,Zanetti,Marchisio and maybe even Nocerino.Not bad but I always wanted to see some creative there like van der Vaart or Diego.Even though I think we`re going to loan out Marchisio one more year and we`ll get Ranieri`s boy,Lampard.
Camo has been injured a lot this season and not even to mention Marchionni.When they both get injured we play like shit with 3 DMs,no tactics and with long balls.We should sell Marco and buy someone good and not injury prone.
Attack looks good IMO.4 of them look very good and I think they would be real pain for our opponents.

I predicted this when we first bought mellberg, and i remember saying that we wont buy any other defenders next season. Two new players will be brought, one of them is either a replacement for nedved (if our management don't have faith in giovinco) or another CM and a forward. It seams like our board really want amauri (though a young quality forward ex. piatti would be my choice)....

Starting from the back, i dont think we will be bringing in any defenders as well. I think they are putting a lot of their faith in Legro and Andrade more than anything ( the way of thinking is that Chiellini would be leading the line anyway and one of must be able to fill the gap)
The midfield is ok but a lot will be depending on the player brought in and the assessment of nocerino and marchisio. I hope claudio is brought back so he can be groomed by zanetti. And the same with gio and neddy. Nocerino is a mystery to me in regards to his future. I dont think Ranieri lost faith in him yet, so i see him part of the squad next season( which is not soo bad )

The 4-4-2 is not the problem, it's the lack of balance.
For example, instead of pairing a defensive mid paired with a box to box player, Ranieri play's 2 DM's. He also plays ppl out of position, like Nocerino as a RM.
We dont need to revamp our whole formation, just choose the right players in the 1 we currently use.

I don't think there is a lack of balance in our first XI.
We only became unbalanced when Camo was injured and our lack of a decent backup left us exposed.
I expect us to continue playing 2 DMs, as long as our strength lies in our wide midfielders. If you put Giovinco into the side in place of Nedved, there is even more need for 2 DMs as Giovinco won't do as much as Nedved defensively.
