This makes sense becasue Palermo player can't be a world class player these days. He can become wc only after joining a big club and only by playing on serious Euro tournaments
That's one way to look at it. Imo, it's a wrong way.
Playing for a big team only makes you more hyped and more famous, but if you're 27/28 already, it won't make you a better player.
Amauri had the same qualities when he played for Palermo. That's why Dom and i, and few more, have been so pleased when we heard about Juve's interest in Amauri and we were happy when we signed him.

Some of you may not like him as a player and may not think high of his qualities, but for me he's world class because he has all the qualities i expect an attacker to have.
It doesn't matter if he plays for Juve or Palermo. It matters how does he play and who does he play against. For both Juve and Palermo he played against the best serie A defenders and he was always hard to stop.

No way, it does matter which team he is playing for, in order to consider him as World Class player, because we know many players who played awesome football with small clubs and only after moving to serious clubs and after start struggling for 1st place(palermo wasn't struggling for scudetto), it was obvious that they are not players of this level and playing in euro tournament is also importnant (only there are teams which represent such a big diversity of leagues and highest level football from different countries) for testing players and when player haven't even played single game for this tournament he is not tested properly and therefore can't be considered as world class yet.
World class also means some experience and he is not yet experoienced at the highest level.
So, it's obvious to me that only playing on the highest level can test players whether they are world class players or not and playing one of the major roles for a team which aim is the first place

Disagree. Great players are great players. Following your logic, someone like Hamsik could never be considered world class if he stays in Napoli.

Yes that's true such players only have chance to become WC and as of real becoming WC, it can be done only if their current team become strong enough to struggle for the highest aims or after moving to such top club.
I think it's quite clear thing

So you're saying Ronaldinho wasn't WC while he was in PSG? Barca made him WC? Maybe you are confusing world class with superstar. As Alen said, it has more to do with fame.

yes he was not WC in PSG. No I'm not confusig and fame doesn't matter. I'm talking about experience of playing at the highest level for example: xabi alonso, Schneider, Ji-Sung Park, Gudjonsen, Belletti are world class, but not superstars

 are you kidding guys??? How can be Palermo player WC???
he was palermo player when we sign him and you want to say that we sign World class player?? it's funny and silly the same time
C'mon stop that stupidity ;)
People here consider Amauri as a WC because he's our player, Amauri is a good player but if he's a WC player then Inter and Milan are full with WC players

What's wrong with Poulsen?
He's a WC player too !!!!

Weird logic.

Lets get this straight.....you're actually telling me that if Palermo, not Chelsea, bought Drogba from Marselle, if he signed 5 year contract, if Zamparini refused to let him leave and if he spent the last 4-5 seasons in Palermo.....he wouldn't have been world class ?

Have in mind that he'd have been the same talent, the same potential with the same qualities, just that he'd have been less successful and less famous.

And i'm certainly not overrating Amauri because he plays for Juve. I've been praising the guy since he was in Palermo. Just check the old topics.
