Napoli chief Marino dismisses Juventus link
tribalfooball.com - March 01, 2008

Napoli sports director Pierpaolo Marino has again dismissed reports linking him with Juventus.
Marino said: "I have already repeated on other occasions: my Juventus is in Naples. I came here when Napoli was in Serie C, I do not see why I should leave right now that the results are coming.

"I speak to (president Aurelio) De Laurentiis several times a day to better prepare ourselves for next season."

Well thats the end of that.

remember the we don't need another striker "à la Trezeguet"? That's why I wanted another one like Huntelaar, Gomez...when Trez is not 100% he's practically useless and the guys we have on the team can't do the job. We need an alternative, a poacher.

:agree: he's been doing my head in recently but we don't have anyone to replace him with, today he stood there like a lemon

No offence, but only mid-table teams have 5 years plan, not Juve. This is not the old Juve i knew where all the players had the perception of the winner and fought in every game to win, whoever was the opponent. We will never compete Milan and Inter if we are treating like the mid-table teams as we are doing now.

Even if we had a proper 5 year plan i would be happy, but we dont, our priorities are players like Amauri, we are not interested in any kind of defenders and creative midfielders.
We need to start buying world class players from some key positions, so that eventually a few of them will stack up and create a competitive team, counter measures and a quick fixes are not part of a five year project.
The only five year plan or owners seem to have is stall time and sell the team eventually...

Roll with the times joe, We just came back from Serie B, just because we are Juventus doesnt mean shit, money talks my friend and frankly.. we dont none!

I remember a time when if Juventus came calling a player could never turn us down.

Changed times my friend, Just recently we have witness Palladino, Nocerino, Chellini and Criscito threaten to leave us for teams like Fiorentina, Genoa and Man City respectivly.

Obviously a step down in their careers but hey, they would rather be a starter for these teams than a bench player for Juventus!

So dont preach about mid table clubs having a 5 year plan because if any big club (except maybe for Real Madrid) went through what we went through they would also have a plan.

Saying that I agree with Cronios I dont think this board even have a plan and thier just stalling time until they eventually sell the club.

Looking at team rosters, 3rd place isnt really bad.

The problem is we might not make it. We don't have player depth, and now Ranieri seems to be losing it. The defence is returning to the one we exhibited in our opening games.

We have a plan, I just dont think its properly being executed, especially by this Secco guy.

I agree with you...we have NO bench....Our board fucked us over by loaning Almiron and Olivera(whiched he never plays) and the same with Tiago just keeping the bench warm while poor Marco is in a injury spell.....The only Midfielders we have that play are Sissoko, Zanetti, Nocerino and Camo and Brazzo...

Ranieri never looks at the bench Camo is dealing with a injury spell and if zanetti and sissoko get hurt or are out of a match...we are screwed...

I think it’s surprising that we are in 3rd place with the squad that we have. Most of our wins have been somewhat lucky IMO instead of pure tactical/executional supremacy. No club in serie A would admit after playing us that we are as good as our record/pts suggest we are.

Bad signings, bad coaching, bad decision making >> this all falls on Secco, the B.O.D. and C-Ra.

Unfortunately it will all most likely fall on our coach and Secco will still go on. That’s usually how it works.

Remember that Secco's job is to make the club profitable. That’s all that matters in regards to his role, the winning comes down to the C-Ra not Secco.

I don't think he did bad by recruting Tiago and Almiron but our Ranieri had failed on insering them well in the team. However Secco is not an director "da juve"
