Higuain is a an overrated player who needs 5/6 chances to score one goal. he's along there with Iaquinta on the list of players who misses the most chances. Don't be fool by some great goals he score. He chokes in big games.

I know you are talking about Vargas, I've never seen he's good. But he's not the solution to our LW. I don't want two predectibale players covering our wings as we already have Krasic.

I'm not talking about Vargas in this instance, although I really think you underrate him too.

But to compare Benzema's finishing with Iaquinta's? Come on man, I know you can't really believe that.

We are talking about Higuain :p , I'm not comparing their finishing. I just said that Higuain also misses some very easy chances and he needs more than several chances to score goal wish you've yet to disagree with. He's good striket with a lovely touch, definetly an upgrade over Matri, but he's nowhere near WC, nor he deserved to be labelled as a champion wish i've seen many members do.

@ Kyle: Remeber Copa :D

I do. He was far from the only star who flopped in that tournament.

Yeah Higuain is good player, he possess everything you want from a good striker. He has good technique, good control, good head game, can shoot with both feet eqally well.
But he lacks that killer instinct that great striker have, The one Trezeguet had, altough he's not as good as Higuain technically but he was a heck of striker cause you know he'll score if he gets 1/2 a chance. That's what is lacking Higuain and for that he will never be a WC striker.

There is no substitute for a striker with good ball skills - Ibra for example is a great all in one - big and powerful, yet skilful and graceful, and possesses reasonable pace.

A striker should have great ball-skills before anything else. The days of standing around waiting for a tap in are no more.

it's a crime against humanity to compare higuain with Trezegod

I'm a big fan of actually watching players instead of basing arguments around them playing against Spanish teams. I don't remember anyone commenting on this when Agüero was linked, in fact, despite him also having better numbers than the footballing titans, Iaquinta and Matri.

I'm convinced that most people have seen very limited game time of Higuaín (ie. only in the CL knockouts/Clasico/Copa America).

I've seen him week in week out since he joined real madrid. And he's not a WC striker, he's overrated and he chokes in big games.
