WHAT I MEANT was that when the going got tough last year against the smaller teams who sat back we did not have a striker like Messi,Villa,Etoo,Cavani,Zlatan,Ronaldo etc who could take it on themselves to break down a stubborn defence and score

MAtri can not do that!!

THATS WHAT I MEANT,without such a top striker we will fail in challenging the top teams for top spots for failling to score against the smaller teams we struggled mightily against last season!!

Thats why i wish we had saved the 18mil on MAtri,15 on Vucinic and spent a bit more and got a quality striker like Aguero

But as has become the trend with Juve,we prefer quantity over quality!!

but its delusional to think that he will lead our attack if we want to become one of the big boys again

All im saying is once we hopefully start improving and if we get back to the cl,we will need a better striker

I think your point is valid - your strikers need to posses good ball skills in this age - poachers like Trezeguet just don't cut it any longer
