What filippo just said is actually true, Cam. If it was all about the goals, I would be crazy about Quag. But Quag is not a team player. Matri is. He contributes a lot to our way of playing, he has great movement and opens up space for our midfielders to score.

well in theory that is what he should do , but he actually doesnt' know how to do it really well , actually between our forwards the only one who did a real centre forward movement and took away 2 defenders with him was bendtner , in a marchisio goal if i am not mistaken .

Also matri doesn't have any good tecnical abilities , isn't particulary good at holding the ball and in one-twos , pratically useless for this juventus . Quag is much better than him and this season he has also brought the goals

Than he got his chance with juve and won a scudetto and the italian super cup . dzeko is 1 year younger and has already been playing on top level football for some years now also has won a bundeliga and a premier league championship and in his career has been a much more consistent goal scorer compared to matri

Dzeko is a better player than Matri, yes. I don't think anyone is disputing that.

I just like that Matri was the top scorer in an undefeated Juve of 2012/2013 and plays in a better team than Dzeko.

So you're saying Bendtner's movement is better than Matri's? No fucking chance mate. Out of all of CF's, Matri is by far the best in movement and positioning, and finishing in the box too, as whack as it might sound to you. You guys horribly overrate Bendtner and Quag, and highly underrated Matri.

If Conte didn't choose STD boy over Matri in the second half of last season, Matri probably would have ended up with 16-17 goals or thereabouts. He was in beast mode in the first half of the season (for his standards) and was scoring fairly regularly. All of a sudden, the supremely untalented Borriello arrives takes all Matri's game time and this in turn destroys his confidence. He has NOT been given a fair go from Conte since around February this year and you know it.

So 10 goals in basically half a season of meaningful play. Not as bad as you make it out to be.
