I actually thought he was considerably better in the first half than he was in the second. Again, received a lot of slander for no real fault of his. Always gonna be a handy striker to have in the ranks. Still don't get why he got subbed out. Should've played the full 90 while Vucinic got some rest for Tuesday.

Best attacking pair is Matri & Vucinic, the understanding is great.

Matri add another dimension to our play even when he's not scoring.

Totally agree... We play a total different game when he is on the Field... What we Need is presence in the box

soo glad he scored, hope that will boost his confidence. very fluid in movement, and on its day, this is the best pairing, vuci as SS and matri as striker.

Everyone was better in the first half.

Not referring to the intensity but his overall movement, touches, eventually tired and became more invisible. I felt Vucinic outran him and was helping out the defense a bit more.

What we saw from Matri in the first half is what I look for in a modern striker. Quick, mobile, good movement, good hold up play and good finishing. He is a really good forward when on form he just needs to score a few more goals to get back into the form we saw from him in 2011.
