Oh, this is nothing to do with the view you were expressing.

It's just the phrase 'could care less', being the American version of the British saying 'couldn't care less'.

Now, if you could care less something, that means that you do, in fact, care about it.

'Couldn't care less', on the other hand, makes perfect sense.

@ AC I wasn't referring to you, but yeah. You're the one who thought "Could care less" means "Couldn't care less" so chyea. Could of would of should of.
