Had a very Rudd Van Nistelrooy-like game today. The goals came even without him having a spectacular impact throughout the game. Held the ball up well late on though
He needed this game. It probably saved his Juventus career. Coz I feel he was beginning to get anxious with the responsibility of being our prime marksman. And it was leading to making silly mistakes.

That's why I said he's more than a finisher. I don't know if many notice but he opens up so much space for his team-mates by driving his markers away with him.

No, I mean for him personally. I feel like the acquisition of Boriello, and his recent run of games despite at goal against Cagliari (was it?) had begun to make him feel very unsure of himself. His movement was weak, his shots were poor, the entire body language had changed from what it was. You could see he was losing confidence in his ability. And im sure being a young guy it may never be easy knowing that you've got Quag and Vuci who are probably more technically gifted players around, ad a Cl season looming, I guess to him its important to prove your ability on a daily basis.
The winning goal was a beauty. Keep it up but please try help the midfield out by occasionally turning your back towards them and making some clever runs.
