The age thing again
Remember when Milan was criticized for having an old guard, but then the same old guard won the CL and the same "experts" said that people should look at the players, and not their age?

Well, Conte wanted Padoin, Giac, and other cack players. He knows what he is doing, but enough with the shitty players ffs!

Those were quality players, most of them world class, a level Diamanti has never heard of, let alone likely to reach.

Forza Diamanti, would love to see him here.
Why am I not surprised? :p What is it that you like the most about him? His hairdo? His cuntish attitude? The fact that he is shining at a powerhouse club like Bologna? :D

People are still commenting on his age. As we play now Diamanti>Giovinco

That's not saying much. Diamanti is a 30 year old okish player. Giovinco is an okish 26 year old midget.

Diamanti is better, but the difference isn't significant as to warrant wasting time and money on his sorry ass.

The fact that he is a versatile, creative player who delivers consistently in the Serie A with much worse team players than he would have here. The fact that if he were to come here, it gives us a propper attacking midfielder with a work load which will satisfy Conte, so we can stop looking like clowns in the 3-5-1. Furthermore he's a very capable winger, so it could signal us reversing back to using actual wing play.

Also I've admired the player for a long time.

It's an upgrade. Why do you assume he's the answer to our problems?
I don't, but I don't see him as a significant upgrade either. Also, given Marotta's love for these types of deals, I feel it might compromise our chances of getting someone worthy of wearing our jersey. Hopefully Conte makes strong demands so we don't end up with Sampdoria level signings :D

Good analysis, but I just don't see it. I have a feeling that he is a Gio type player; good for a small club, but will suck/sink into oblivion @ a big club.

Diamanti should only come here if he's coming in addition to a top player. Nani-Diamanti would be a horrible move for example. Because we could use the money being spent on both for someone like Benzema of Higuain. Also, I wonder if the Diamanti link would be bad news for someone like Gio coz I see them having similar roles on this team, with Diamanti being the more versatile.

Vucinic is older than Diamanti

Pirlo is older than Diamanti does that make Pirlo not a player a team wouldnt want to have? Yes Diamanti is no where as good as Pirlo and yes they do play in different positions but i was only giving an example

Im not defending Diamanti as I dont want him here but honestly if you are going to talk about age than realize we have older players then him. If this were an option I'd sell Vucinic, Quag, and Matri and replace them with Llorente,a versatile ss( Suarez) and Ibra. I know that is impossible so id settle for a versatile player like Sanchez even though i dont see him coming, Ibra and one of juve's youth products

i see diamanti only as a trequartista.
not as ra or ss like the newspapers said.

maybe in a formation like this:

------------buffon------------
licht---barz-----chiellini----asa
--------vidal----pogba--------
cuadrado---diamanti----vucinic
-------------Ibra-------------

what do you think of this formation ???

Fixed. Asa hardly can do his job as a lwb what makes you think he can do a good job as a lb?

I don't think anyone argues against this.
